Florence S. Curley, 86, of State College, died Friday, Dec. 23, 2011, at the Fairways at Brookline Village.
She was born March 16, 1925, in St. Marys, the daughter of Ralph and Thecla Schatz. She married William N. Curley on Aug. 27, 1947, and he preceded her in death on June 26, 1996.
She received her bachelorâ€™s degree from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1947.
Frank W. Sekelsky, 91, of 14 Kane St., Wilcox, died Friday afternoon, Dec. 23, 2011 at Pinecrest Manor in St. Marys following a lengthy illness.
He was born on Feb. 28, 1920, in Johnsonburg, son of the late John and Katherine Knopic Sekelsky. He married Wanda Waskiewicz on Sept. 30, 1944 in Holy Cross Church, Rasselas. She survives.
Michael P. Neizmik, 87, of 117 Thunder Rd., St. Marys, died Friday, Dec. 23, 2011, at the DuBois Nursing Home after a brief illness.
He was born Feb. 12, 1924, in Pittsfield, son of the late Michael and Anna Ronanak Neizmik.
He attended Warren County schools and had resided in St. Marys since 1960. He had been employed as an ironworker.
On June 14, 1952, in Irwin, he married Elizabeth (Betty) Klenke, who survives.
He was a member of the Sacred Heart Church and was a veteran of WWII, having served in the Army.
Enes Marie Facchine, 81, a native of Bennetts Valley, died on Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2011 at 8:30 p.m. at Christ the King Manor in DuBois. â€¨She was born on Aug. 10, 1930 in Caledonia, daughter of the late Leonard and Angela delPiva Facchine.â€¨She was a graduate of Jay Township High School, Class of 1949, and also received a degree in Business Administration from the DuBois Business College. She was employed as school secretary at the Bennetts Valley School for many years. She was a member of St.
Christine I. â€śDenaâ€ť Dahms, 92, of 266 Grove Ave., Ridgway, died Thursday, Dec. 22, 2011, at her residence.
She was born Dec. 17, 1919, in Ridgway, the daughter of the late Andrew J. and Margaret Forester Steger.
She married John A. â€śJackâ€ť Dahms on Feb. 14, 1943; he predeceased her on Aug. 19, 2005.
Mrs. Dahms was a lifelong Ridgway resident. She was a member of St. Leoâ€™s Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening, reading, and staying abreast of current events and changes in the nursing profession. She was a Registered Nurse at Elk County General Hospital and Ridgway Community Nurses.
Doris Mae Fritz, 87, of 112 Poplar Road, St. Marys died Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2011 at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville following a lengthy illness.
She was born May 8, 1924 in St. Marys, daughter of the late Aloysius "Allie" and Clara Fox Erich. On October 16, 1943, in the St. Mary's Church, she married Robert F. Fritz, who preceded her in death on December 27, 2004.
William M. "Tooley" Zimmerman, 75, of 3034 Rasselas Rd., Wilcox, died Tuesday night, Dec. 20, 2011, at the Lutheran Home in Kane following a lengthy illness.
He was born Feb. 15, 1936 in Rasselas, son of Michael and Mary Fiscus Zimmerman. He married Cecelia Yankovich on June 29, 1963 in St. Ann's Church, Wilcox, and she preceded him in death on April 2, 1990.
He resided in the Wilcox-Rasselas area all his life and attended Wilcox High School.
Monica Lynn Presley, 45, of Morrisville, died Friday, Dec. 16, 2011 as a result of an automobile accident.
Born in Bristol, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Gregory L. Presley and Kathryn (Stevens) Grenz, who survives.
Mrs. Presley had been a resident of Morrisville for over 12 years, moving there from Olanta, Pa. She was employed as an office manager for the Probuild Company in Morrisville, where she had worked for over 10 years.
Michael W. Caylor, 65, of 519 Toby Rd., Kersey, died unexpectedly on Sunday, Dec. 18, 2011 at Elk Regional Health Center in St. Marys.
He was born Feb. 15, 1946 near Vandergrift, Pa., a son of Wayne E. and Eleanor I. Morrison Caylor, who survive.
Ryan R. Mack, 54, of Tyler Road, Penfield, died unexpectedly at his home on Friday, Dec. 16, 2011.
He was born Oct. 21, 1957 in Warren, Ohio, son of the late Roy J. Mack Sr. and Edith Mae (Governor) Mack.
He was a 1976 graduate of St. Marys Area High School and worked as a warehouse manager for Georgino Industrial Supply for 30 years. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was a horticulturalist, enjoying music and especially flowers. He was raised in Benezette and had been a Bennetts Valley resident since 1968.
