Ralph E. “Yo” LaVelle, 77, of 415 North St. Marys St., died Sunday evening, Nov. 4, 2012, at the Elk Regional Health Center following a brief illness. A dedicated family man, proud veteran and member of the Yankton Sioux Tribe, Yo passed peacefully surrounded by his loving family.
Carol A. Dornish, 75, of 72 Erie Ave., St. Marys, and formerly of Poplar Road, died Monday morning, Nov. 5, 2012, at her residence after a brief illness.
She was born Oct. 16, 1937 in St. Marys, daughter of the late George C. and Avis L. Peckham Goodreau. On Feb. 7, 1959 in the Queen of the World Church, she married Charles T. Dornish, who preceded her in death in 1989.
She was a lifelong resident of the area and attended St. Marys schools. She was a former employee of Stackpole, with 24 years of service and had also worked at Flannigan’s, the Elk Casino and the Elks Club.
