Victor J. "Yitter" Zawatski, 93, of Pinecrest Manor in St. Marys and formerly of Johnsonburg, died Thursday afternoon, March 1, 2012 at UPMC Hamot Medical Center in Erie following a short illness.
He was born Oct. 2, 1918 in Johnsonburg, son of the late Vincent and Leokadja Walczak Zawatski.
He married Gertrude Ann Votano on Aug. 2, 1942 in Holy Rosary Church, Johnsonburg, and she preceded him in death on Jan. 8, 2002.
Colleen G. Kalambukas of Buffalo, N.Y., died on Friday, March 2, 2012 in the arms of her son.
She was born in Buffalo, N.Y., and raised in Clearfield, daughter of the late Mark and Anna Goumas.
She married Andrew Kalambukas of St. Marys, who survives.
Having moved from St. Marys to Pittsburgh and then the last 22 years in Buffalo, NY., she and her family have their fondest memories of their life together in St. Marys. Colleen was a volunteer for many organizations and helped those in need anonymously throughout her life. She was a beloved wife and most loving mother.
