Donald R. "Captain" Allegretto, 69, of 879 Rasselas Rd., Wilcox, died Friday morning, April 13, 2012 at his residence following a lengthy illness.
He was born on Aug. 25, 1942 in Buffalo, N.Y., son of the late Raymond and Betty Sample Allegretto. On Aug. 5, 1967 in St. Ann's Church, Wilcox, he married Katherine "Kaki" Gelsick, who survives.
He was a lifelong resident of Rasselas, having attended Wilcox and Johnsonburg schools. He was a Vietnam-era veteran of the U.S. Army, serving overseas as an SP4 with Co. B, 166th Eng. Bn.
