Dr. David Quinn Steele, age 85, of Glen Hazel Road in Wilcox, died Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at U.P.M.C.-Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.
He was born Oct. 20, 1926 in Pittsburgh to Dr. Paul B. and Anne McNeill Steele.
On May 2, 1958, he married Lorraine "Lorry" Harrison, she survives.
He attended the Awakening Alliance Church in Ridgway. Dr. Steele was an avid sportsman and enjoyed many outdoor activities, including hunting, canoeing, skiing and hiking and traveling. He also loved hockey and football. He was an avid reader and a strong Christian man who was very generous and humble.

Alice L. Marcenelle, 82, of Port Vue, died Tuesday, June 26, 2012.
She was the daughter of the late Grover and Helen (McVicker) Ritchie; the devoted wife of Anthony "Ants" Marcenelle; loving mother of Tawnie (Larry) Gisi of Monroeville, Anthony (Zoe) Marcenelle, Ronnie (Jennifer) Marcenelle of Houston, Texas, Connie Mellett of Aspinwall and Victoria (Mark) Whiteman of St. Marys; and the grandmother of Andrew Gisi, Christopher and Emily Marcenelle, Alison, Jacob and Sare Whiteman and Alexandra Mellett.Â
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in deathÂ by a brother, Alan Ritchie.
Mary Grace Kriegish, 82, of 409 Willow St., Johnsonburg, died on Sunday, June 24, 2012 at her residence following a lengthy illness.
She was born on July 2, 1929 in Weedville, daughter of the late Ralph and Mary Alice DeLullo.
She married Richard E. Kriegish on Jan. 3, 1948 in St. Joseph Church in Force. He preceded her in death on Feb. 25, 1991.
Mrs. Kriegish resided in Johnsonburg since 1947. She graduated from Jay Township High School and from the Ora Jean Beauty School of Erie.
Stephan Hoyt Stump, 41, of Rose St., Johnsonburg, died Thursday, June, 21, 2012 at UPMC Presbyterian of Pittsburgh following a short illness.
He was born Feb. 4, 1971 in Ridgway, the son of Clifford Stump and Barbara (Redmond) Kronenwetter.
Stephan was a graduate of Johnsonburg High School, Class of 1989, and attended Penn State main campus for several years. He lived most of his life in Johnsonburg, spending some time in DuBois, the Poconos and State College.
Mary E. â€śBettyâ€ť McAlee, 92, of The Lutheran Home, Kane, died Sunday, June 24, 2012 at the home after a short illness.
She was born March 17, 1920 in Johnsonburg, daughter of the late Jonah and Annie (Williams) Davies.
On July 15, 1941, she married Peter â€śWootsâ€ť McAlee. He preceded her in death on May 14, 1999.
Mary Elvie Kemmer Hollobaugh, 98, of Elk Haven Nursing Home and formerly of 983 Theresia St., St. Marys, died on Saturday evening, June 23, 2012 at Elk Haven Nursing Home following a brief illness.
She was born Dec. 30, 1913 in Brockport, a daughter of the late John and Nancy Ann Timblin Reed. On May 6, 1949 in St. Marys Rectory, she married the late William A. Hollobaugh, who preceded her in death on March 6, 2007.
Benedict A. DePrater, 86, of 214 Taft Rd., St. Marys, died at his home on Thursday, June 21, 2012, surrounded by his family.
He was born Sept. 16, 1925 in Riceville Corners, Pa., a son of the late Edward and Rosa Frey DePrater. On May 4, 1946 in St. Mary's Church, he married Phyllis Auman DePrater, who survives.
Theodore "Ted" Gapinski, 77, of 9510 Rocksprings St., San Antonio, Texas, died on Friday, June 15, 2012 at home following a brief illness.
Born on Aug. 7, 1934 in Johnsonburg, he was the son of the late John "Kicker" and Elizabeth "Bee" Gillen Gapinski.
On Oct. 29, 1960, he married Anne Guido, who survives.
Charles D. â€śBudâ€ť Wagner, 71, of 421 Washington St., St. Marys, died Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at his home after a lengthy illness.
He was born May 7, 1941 in St. Marys, son of the late George and Marcella Hanes Wagner. On April 20, 1963 in the St. Boniface Church, he married Elizabeth J. â€śBettyâ€ť Grosser, who survives.
Mr. Wagner was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of St. Marys Area High School, Class of 1959. He was a retired employee of Keystone Carbon Company, retiring in 2003 after 44 years of service.
