December 12th
John S. Muccio, 83, of Cherry Avenue in Weedville, died Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012 at his home.
Born on Dec. 1, 1929 in Penfield, he was the son of the late Joseph and Rose (DiLullo) Muccio.
On June 26, 1954 at the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Force, he married Geraldine H. (Facchine) Muccio, who survives.
John was a dock worker for Ward Trucking Co. in Falls Creek for over 30 years. After retirement, he was the janitor at Bennetts Valley Elementary School for several years. For over 50 years, he drove school bus for Muccio Transportation.
Roy A. "Stony" Defranco, 92, of 215 Bergen St., Johnsonburg, died Tuesday night, Dec. 11, 2012 at Elk Regional Health Center following a brief illness.
He was born Jan. 20, 1920 in Johnsonburg, son of the late Antonio and Pasqualina Albanase Defranco.
On May 8, 1954 in Holy Rosary Church in Johnsonburg, he married Julia A. Gigliotti, who survives.
He resided in Johnsonburg all his life and graduated from Johnsonburg High School, Class of 1938.
December 11th
Sue A. Pasquinelli, 63, of 138 Comet Rd., St. Marys, died unexpectedly on Monday, Dec. 10, 2012 at her residence.
She was born March 10, 1949 in St. Marys, daughter of the late Leonard J. and Dolores Heiberger Wickett. She was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of St. Marys Area High School, Class of 1967. She was a former employee of GTE Sylvania and was a former co-owner of J&S Grinding in Ridgway and also served as office manager.
She was a member of Queen of the World Church, enjoyed cooking and shopping, and especially loved her children and grandchildren.
Ronald Neubert, 74, of Liberty Street, Meadville, died Monday, Dec. 3, 2012 at his residence. He was born April 29, 1938 in St. Marys, son of the late James A. Neubert and Victoria Kornacki Neubert. On May 17, 1958 he married Mary Lou Rickrode, who survives. They celebrated their golden anniversary on May 17, 2008.
Ron moved to Erie in 1950, where he attended Holy Rosary Grade School, and graduated from Cathedral Prep in 1956. Following high school graduation, Ron attended Gannon University.
Helene Mastrogiacomo, 80, of Cushing Avenue, Johnsonburg, died Monday, Dec. 10, 2012 at the home of her daughter after a short illness.
She was born July 8, 1932 in Brooklyn, N.Y., daughter of the late Thomas and Mary (Twaddle) Tracy.
She lived in Brooklyn and Long Island until 1975 when she moved to Matamoros, Pa., and spent the past five years in Johnsonburg. She was a banker whose employment included Manufacturers Hanover and Chase Manhattan.

Erma E. Yale, 83, of Daniel Street, Brockport, died Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012, at her residence.
She was born Feb. 20, 1929, in Coal Hollow, Elk County, daughter of the late Guido and Catherine Baruffalo Zuccolotto.
He was married to Raymond S. "Sparkey" Yale, who preceded her in death Nov. 23, 2011.
She was a member at Holy Cross Church in Brandy Camp.
Erma was a member of the Blue Army at Holy Cross. She had been employed at Brockway Glass in the decorating department before her retirement.
Stanford L. Anderson, 84, of 319 East Fifth St., Warren, died on Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012 at Warren General Hospital.
Stanford was born April 18, 1928, in Ridgway to the late Carl G. Anderson and Sarah B. Raybuck Anderson. He attended grade school, junior high school and senior high school.Â

Mary T. Volker, 85 of Greensburg, died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012 in Excela Health: Westmoreland Hospital following a brief illness.
She was born April 17, 1927 in Weedville, the daughter of the late Frank and Helen (Lanzel) Krellner.
Mary was a member of Blessed Sacrament Cathedral and the Friday Music Club. She was a graduate of Duquesne University and an accomplished violinist who proudly performed in various symphonies.
December 4th
Mark C. Hill, 52, of St. Marys, died Sunday night, December 2, 2012 at Elk Regional Health Center.
He was born May 14, 1958 in Ridgway, son of the late John F. Hill and Janis (Snyder) Hill.
He married Tina Gagliardi, who survives.
He resided in the area most of his life and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
December 2nd
Agnes R. VanGelder, 88, a resident of Elk Haven Nursing Home and formerly of 101 Poplar Rd., St. Marys, died at Elk Haven Nursing Home on Friday, Nov. 30, 2012 following a brief illness.
She was born Dec. 5, 1923 in Walston, a daughter of the late Stephen and Anna Fairman Farcus.
In 1945, she married the late William H. VanGelder at St. Mark's Church in Emporium. He preceded her in death in 1990.
