Josephine Amacher White, 86, of Grant Road, Ridgway, died Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013, surrounded by her family at home following a short illness.
She was born Feb. 27, 1926 in New York City, daughter of the late Pancrazio and Henriette Motte Papale.
She married Malcolm Earl Amacher on Sept. 29, 1946 at Holy Cross Rectory in New York City.
Doreen A. McCartan, 71, of Newark, Ohio, died at Licking Memorial Hospital with her family by her side on Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013.
She was born in St. Marys on Nov. 7, 1941, daughter of Ruth A. (Gerber) Meyer and the late Arnold J. Meyer.
Alberta J. Manfroni, 84, of 446 Toby Rd., Kersey, died Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013 at her residence.
She was born July 18, 1928 in Knox Twp., Jefferson County, the daughter of Patrick J. and Dorothy Wonderling McGranor.
On Aug. 9, 1947 in St. Tobias Church in Brockway she married Peter Manfroni. He preceded her in death on Aug. 30, 2004.
She was a member at St. Boniface in Kersey.
She was a 1946 graduate of Reynoldsville High School. She had lived for many years in Falls Creek before moving to Kersey in 1968. She enjoyed cooking, baking and organizing family gatherings.
Gary R. Kamats, 65, of 1058 Gardeau Rd., Emporium, died at DuBois Regional Medical Center, DuBois, on Wednesday afternoon, Jan. 16, 2013.
He was born June 24, 1947 in St. Marys, a son of the late George and Clara Zoschg Kamats. On Aug. 29, 1970 in St. Leo Catholic Church, Ridgway, he married Jane Imhof Kamats, who survives.
Betty Louise Casolo, 87, of 101 N. Mill Ave., Ridgway, died at her residence on Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013 after a lengthy illness. She was surrounded by her loving family.
She was born May 17, 1925 in St. Marys, the daughter of the late Anthony and Flora Minard Gerg. On Nov. 26, 1947, she married John F. Casolo Sr., who preceded her in death on May 4, 2006.
Theodore "Ted" Schloder, 64, of 172 Cross Rd., St. Marys, died on Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013 at Elk Regional Health Center.
He was born Oct. 17, 1948 in St. Marys, son of the late Clarence W. "Toot" and Lydia McGonigal Schloder Sr.
On May 2, 1968, in the St. Mary's Church, he married Ellen M. Manning, who survives.
He was a lifelong resident of the area and attended St. Marys schools. He had been sel- employed at the former Schloder's Garage and had been employed at Windfall Products.
Mr. Schloder was a member of the St. Mary's Church.
