George R. Zamboldi

George R. Zamboldi, 84, of Linden, Mich., died November 19, 2013.
He was born April 20, 1929 in New Bethlehem, the son of the late Joseph and Angelina (Berti) Zamboldi.
He was educated at the St. Marys schools and attended Duquesne University on a football scholarship. He proudly served his country in the army during the Korean conflict, in counter intelligence. He was employed for many years at Airco Speer Carbon Company in St. Marys, and then started his own manufacturers rep company.

Vincent J. “Potato” Olewnik

Vincent J. “Potato” Olewnik, 82, Chestnut Avenue, Force, died Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2013 at the DuBois Nursing Home after a lengthy illness.
He was born Feb. 28, 1931 in Force, son of the late Stanley and Mary (Visneski) Olewnik. On April 27, 1957 in St. Joseph's Church, DuBois, he married Germaine (Zukauskas), she survives.

Pauline M. “Polly” Fox

Pauline M. “Polly” Fox, 67, of 802 Washington St., St. Marys, died unexpectedly, Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2013, at her home.
She was born Sept. 2, 1946 in Ridgway, daughter of the late Paul and Margie Wicks Herzing.
She was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of Elk County Christian High School. She was a former employee of Quality Components.
On July 12, 1969, in St. Leo’s Church, she married Dennis T. “Denny” Fox, who preceded her in death on Oct. 18, 2009.
Mrs. Fox was a member of the St. Mary’s Church. She enjoyed her family, grandchildren, and her dog, Marley.

Gloria Katherine Donovan

Gloria Katherine Donovan, 87, of St. Marys, formerly of Ridgway and Smethport, died Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2013 in Elk Regional Health Center, St. Marys. 
She was born Sept. 22, 1926 in Shamokin, a daughter of Elvin W. and B. Katherine Wilson Long. On June 20, 1947, in Williamsport, she married James Edward Donovan who died Aug. 17, 1998.
Mrs. Donovan was a graduate of Williamsport High School and attended Lock Haven State Teacher’s College. She was employed as the food services director at the Ridgway High School for 20 years, retiring in 1988.
