Margaret H. Casolo, 95, of 410 N. Broad St. in Ridgway, died Sunday, Dec. 21, 2014 at Pinecrest Manor.
She was born Oct. 6, 1919 in Bordell, daughter of the late John and Louis Abbott Hooper.
She married Michael Casolo on Jan. 9, 1960, he survives.
Margaret Casolo was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, and she had been employed as a telephone operator for Bell Telephone in Bradford, and as a sales clerk for G.C. Murphy's in Ridgway. She enjoyed sewing and gardening.
Mary Rose Eckert, 92, of Erie, died Sunday, Dec. 21, 2014 at St. Maryâ€™s East.
She was born June 4, 1922 in Kersey, daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Malone Sennett.
Rose was a 1940 graduate of Kersey High School.
She was an active member of St. Jude the Apostle Church, was a wonderful homemaker, and loved baking. Rose had a great sense of humor, enjoyed traveling, and loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Norman Larry Bauer, 70, of Johnsonburg, died Friday, Dec. 12, 2014 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh following a lengthy illness. On Dec. 22, Larry would have been a nine-year lung transplant survivor.
He was born Feb. 3, 1944 in Johnsonburg to the late Norman F. and Madeline Grace (Nuss) Bauer.
He married Sue Stallard Bauer on July 17, 1980, and she survives.
Thomas G. "Tom" Zelechoski Sr., 92, of 402 Willow St., Johnsonburg, died Tuesday morning, Dec. 16, 2014 at his residence following a brief illness.
He was born Feb. 12, 1922 in Johnsonburg, son of the late Michael and Winifred Muroski Zelechoski.
On Feb. 7, 1948, he married Irene Parana in Holy Rosary Church, Johnsonburg. She preceded him in death July 28, 2008.
He resided in Johnsonburg all his life. He graduated from Johnsonburg High School in 1939 and attended college briefly in California.
Roger N. Smith, 46, of Byrnedale, died Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2014 at Penn Highlands Elk in St. Marys.
He was born Aug. 2, 1968 in Buckhannon, W. Va., son of Robert and Delena Smith.
On Aug. 14, 1999, he married Tammy (Benson) Smith.
He had been employed as a die setter at Eastern Sintered Alloy since 1998. He enjoyed hunting and racing, being a member of the pit crew for BMC Racing and a member of the B&S Tractor Pulling Team.
He lived in West Virginia until coming to Johnsonburg in 1998 and then to Byrnedale in 2001.
Adam M. Wolfel, 23, ofÂ 126 Beech Rd., St. Marys, died suddenly Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014 at his home.Â Â
He was born Feb. 14, 1991 in St. Marys, a son of Michael and Jane Ritter Wolfel, who survive.
Robert John Tuberson, 85, died Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014.
He was born in St. Marys, raised in that city and in Ridgway, and was the son of the late Clarence and Edith Tuberson.
Bob was retired from the FBI as a special agent with 28 years service, in Washington, D.C., St. Louis, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Norfolk, Va.
After retirement from the FBI he served another 12 years as a special agent with the Bureau of Criminal Investigation, Virginia State Police, working in southeastern Virginia.
Larry L. Harlan, 72, of 101 Frey Rd., Kersey, died Thursday, Dec. 11, 2014 at his residence after a lengthy illness.
He was born March 4, 1942 in St. Marys, son of the late Aileen Harlan.
On May 22, 1971, in St. Marys, he married Mary Ann Frey, who survives.
He was a lifelong resident of the area and attended St. Marys Schools. He was a retired employee of SGL, retiring in 2001 after 32 years of service.
Mr. Harlan enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.
Bernard T. "Bernie" Gapinski, 86, of 407 High St., Johnsonburg, died Saturday morning, Dec. 13, 2014 at Elk Haven Nursing Home in St. Marys following a brief illness.
He was born May 27, 1928 in Johnsonburg, son of the late Joseph and Josephine Butts Gapinski.
On Sept. 16, 1961 in Holy Cross Church, Brandy Camp, he married Elizabeth "Betty" Zambanini, and she survives.
A 1946 Johnsonburg High School graduate, he was a member of Holy Rosary Church, Johnsonburg Senior Center, and Knights of Columbus Council 2007.
Louise M. Andres, 89, of 406 Chestnut St., died Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2014 at the DuBois Nursing Home after a brief illness.
She was born Aug. 3, 1925 in St. Marys, daughter of the late Charles and Clara Pistner Schaut. She was a lifelong resident of the area and graduated from Central Catholic High School, Class of 1943.
On July 8, 1950 in the Sacred Heart Church, she married Arthur A. Andres, who survives.
Mrs. Andres was a member of the Sacred Heart Church, St. Anneâ€™s Society, and the Sacred Heart Social Committee. She enjoyed baking and gardening.
