Mark A. Lamper

Mark A. Lamper, 60, of Erie, died Sunday, Sept. 21, 2014 at his residence.
Born Nov. 17, 1953 in Warren, he was the son of the late Glenn and Violet (McCarthy) Lamper.
Mark worked as a machine operator at Owens Brockway for over 20 years. He loved his bird, was a member of the Moose Club, and an avid lottery ticket player. He also loved spending time with his family and camping at Fox Dam in Kane.
Dad you were the best then, you’re the best now, and your always gonna be the best there ever was. We will love you forever.

Amy J. Sain

Amy J. Sain, 36, of Seven Fields, died Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2014.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry D. Sain; her children, Riley and Ryan; her parents, Theodore and Lorraine Wawrykow; a brother, Joseph C. Wawrykow (Dominique); in-laws Donald and Leah (Dowie) Sain; sisters-in-law Diane Marzula (John), Lisa Jennings (William), Paula Canterino (Joseph), Debbie Sain and Jackie Means (Walker); brothers-in-law Douglas Sain (Leanne) and Robert Campana (Martha); and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Bernard (Bernie) Kline, 82, died Saturday, Sept. 20, 2014 at his residence in Rexford Manor in Yakima, Wash.

William L. “Fuzzy” Gardner

September 23, 2014

William L. “Fuzzy” Gardner, 74, of Bennetts Valley Highway, Byrnedale, died early Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2014 at his home.
He was born Dec. 31, 1939 in Gardner Hill, Weedville, son of the late Clyde Thomas and Audrey (Ives) Gardner.
On May 4, 1963, he married Gertrude F. (Samick), and she survives.
He was a graduate of Weedville High School.
He served in the Navy from 1957-1960, including 19 months in Newfoundland and aboard the USS Aucilla in Norfolk, Va.

Everett Draucher Shea Jr.

Everett Draucher Shea Jr., 84, died Friday, Sept. 19, 2014 at FirstHealth Hospice House in Pinehurst, N.C.
A native of Pennsylvania most of his life, he graduated from Tarentum High School, Grove City College and the University of Pittsburgh. Everett worked for Keystone Carbon Company in St. Marys for 43 years as vice president of sales and marketing.

Paul A. Eckert, D.D.S

Paul A. Eckert, D.D.S, 84, of North Versailles, died after a long battle with cancer on Thursday, Sept. 18, 2014.
He was born March 27, 1930 in St. Marys, a son of the late Vincent A. and Marie (Pistner) Eckert.

Gary L. Salter, 61, of 255 Plum Rd., St. Marys, died on Thursday, Sept. 18, 2014 at Penn Highlands Elk following a lengthy illness.
He was born on July 19, 1953, a son the late LeRoy and Mona Rung Salter.
On August 30, 2002 in Huntley, Pa., he married Virginia Johnson Sweeney Salter, who survives.
He was a graduate of Cameron County High School.

Antoinette (Toni) Kelso

Antoinette (Toni) Kelso, 59, of Brookville, died on Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2014 at her home.
She was born in St. Marys on February 2, 1955, a daughter of the late James and Grace (Haberberger) Gleixner.
On November 8, 1975, she married her soul mate Al Kelso. He survives.

Edwin P. “Kat” Polaski Sr.

Edwin P. “Kat” Polaski Sr., 92, of Bergen Street, Johnsonburg, died Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2014 at Pinecrest Manor after a lengthy illness.
He was born Jan. 6, 1922 in Johnsonburg, son of the late Peter and Stella (Machcoviak) Polaski.
On Oct. 25, 1952, he married Dorothy Carnahan, who preceded him in death June 20, 1979.
He served in the Army during WWII and worked at the Johnsonburg Paper Mill for 47 years.
He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and lived all his life in Johnsonburg.

Robert Gardner, 95, a lifelong resident of Ridgway, died Monday, Sept. 15, 2014 after a brief illness.
He was born July 11, 1919, in Ridgway, son of the late Elmer and Susie (Wilson) Gardner.
He was married to Genevieve M. Assalone on Feb. 10, 1945 at St. Leo's Church. His only daughter, Kathleen Gardner, survives.
