Evelyn M. Claypool, 84, of 105 Fern Ln., Kersey, died Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2014 at Penn Highlands Elk after a brief illness.
She was born May 1, 1930 in Kersey, daughter of the late Irvin and Magdeline Minnich Wonderly. She was a lifelong resident of the area and attended Kersey schools. She was a retired employee of Elco Sintered Alloys, and had worked at the former Central Restaurant and the former Little Skipper.
On May 24, 1952 in Ridgway, she married Donald R. Claypool who preceded her in death on July 20, 1995.
Mary Jane DeLullo, 68, of DuBois, formerly from Bennetts Valley, died Saturday night, Nov. 8, 2014.
She was a resident at Mountain Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield.
Born in DuBois on Sept. 17, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Louis J. and Frances R. (Pirraglia) DeLullo.
Betty J. Olmstead Calla, 90, of 6540 Ridgway-Johnsonburg Rd., Johnsonburg, died Monday morning, Nov. 10, 2014 at Ridgeview Elder Care in Curwensville following a lengthy illness.
She was born March 21, 1924 in Niagara Falls, N.Y., daughter of the late Louis Olmstead and Leona Norlin Olmstead McMahon.
She resided in Johnsonburg most of her life and attended Johnsonburg High School.
Daniel F. Caggeso, 85, formerly of 246 Country Club Rd., Ridgway, died Tuesday morning, Nov. 11, 2014 at Pinecrest Manor surrounded by his loving family.
He was born Sept. 1, 1929 in Ridgway, son of the late Lorenzo and Carmella (Tamburi) Caggeso. He married Edna Lucille Caldwell on July 14, 1951, and she preceded him in death on Jan. 20, 2012.
He resided in Ridgway all his life and was a member of St. Leo Catholic Church, the K of C and the American Legion. He served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of WWII.
Archibald "Archie" Krumenacker, 78, of Colver, died Sunday, Nov. 9, 2014 at home.
He was born July 14, 1936 in Barr Township, son of Edna Krumenacker Gausman.
He retired from Bethlehem Mines No. 33 in Ebensburg and was a truck driver for Krumenacker Lumber Co. He was an Army veteran during the Korean War.
Archie loved his family, working in his garden and going to the casino.
Judith A. Walker, 71, of 162 Terrace Rd., St. Marys, died Thursday, Nov. 6 at the Forbes Regional Hospital in Monroeville after an illness of the past several months.
She was born April 14, 1943 in St. Marys, daughter of the late Harold O. "Sox" and Alice M. Loeffler Walker. She was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of Central Catholic High School, Class of 1961. She was a retired employee of Powdered Metal Products.
Joseph Donald Novosat, 82, of Weedville, died suddenly at home on Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2014.
He was born July 23, 1932 in Byrnedale, son of the late Joseph A. and Kathryn D. (Darui) Novosat. He married Florence (Parziale) Novosat on May 4, 1960, she survives in Weedville.
Joseph was in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict, and a machinist at GTE Sylvania of St. Marys. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was a member of Weedville American Legion for 36 years as well as a past member of the Bennetts Valley Lions Club.
Lynn Ann Cunningham, 56, of 120 Carbon Rd., St. Marys, died at her home Saturday, Nov. 8, 2014 surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Sept. 2, 1958, in St. Marys, a daughter of the late Harold and Doris Goodreau Sherry.
On Aug. 26, 1977, she married John "Jack" Cunningham, who survives.
Rev. C. M. Huff, 78, of Hillsboro, Texas, died Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2014, at his residence. â€¨Born June 14, 1936 in Weedville, he was the son of Frank and Izola (Kemmer) Huff.
He grew up in Pennsylvania and moved to Illinois after high school. In 1957, C. M. was united in marriage to Janet Erlenbach in Illinois. At that time, he began his preaching career at different churches and started Bible College in 1967. Rev. Huff shared Godâ€™s word with churches in Illinois, Texas, and Louisiana for over 33 years, retiring in 1998. He was a member of Hillsboro Church of The Nazarene.
Elizabeth A. "Betty" Learn, 82, of Omaha, Neb. and formerly of St. Marys, died on Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2014 at Creighton University Medical Center in Omaha after a short illness.
She was born on Friday, Nov. 13, 1931, a daughter of the late Francis and Irene Miller Ehrensberger. On Dec. 31, 1956 in Queen of the World Church, she married Thomas J. Learn, who preceded her in death.
Betty graduated from St. Marys High School in 1949 and was active in many social activities in Omaha.
