Rev. C. M. Huff, 78, of Hillsboro, Texas, died Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2014, at his residence. â€¨Born June 14, 1936 in Weedville, he was the son of Frank and Izola (Kemmer) Huff.
He grew up in Pennsylvania and moved to Illinois after high school. In 1957, C. M. was united in marriage to Janet Erlenbach in Illinois. At that time, he began his preaching career at different churches and started Bible College in 1967. Rev. Huff shared Godâ€™s word with churches in Illinois, Texas, and Louisiana for over 33 years, retiring in 1998. He was a member of Hillsboro Church of The Nazarene.
Elizabeth A. "Betty" Learn, 82, of Omaha, Neb. and formerly of St. Marys, died on Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2014 at Creighton University Medical Center in Omaha after a short illness.
She was born on Friday, Nov. 13, 1931, a daughter of the late Francis and Irene Miller Ehrensberger. On Dec. 31, 1956 in Queen of the World Church, she married Thomas J. Learn, who preceded her in death.
Betty graduated from St. Marys High School in 1949 and was active in many social activities in Omaha.
Frederick H. Muhitch Jr. died Thursday,Â Oct. 30, 2014.
He was the beloved husband of Sandy (nee Wurm), dear father of Christopher (Sandra), Dory andÂ Michelle Muhitch, grandfather of Michael and Kayla, son of the late Frederick Sr. and Grace Muhitch, and brother of the late Joseph.
A funeral service for Frederick H. Muhitch Jr. will be held Tuesday, Nov. 4 at the Danzer, Dengler & Roberts Funeral Home, 5363 Genesee St., Bowmansville, N.Y.
Friends may call Monday, Nov. 3 from 3-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Aldo R. Gavazzi, 86, of Elk Haven Nursing Home in St. Marys and formerly of Old Kane Road in Wilcox, died Friday morning, Oct. 31, 2014 at Elk Haven following a lengthy illness.
He was born Oct. 5, 1928 in Byrnedale, son of the late Armondo and Bena Parisi Gavazzi.
He married Patricia L. Halquist on Nov. 13, 1954 in Nazareth Lutheran Church in Wilcox. She died April 18, 2014.
Mr. Gavazzi resided in St. Marys for the past three years. He lived in Wilcox most of his life having moved there after his marriage in 1954. He attended school in Byrnedale.
Irma B. Erich, 96, a resident of Pinecrest Manor and formerly of 615 North St. Marys Street, died Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2014 at Pinecrest Manor after a brief illness.
She was born June 19, 1918 in St. Marys, daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret Benninger Erich. She was a lifelong resident of the area and attended St. Marys Schools. She was a retired employee of Stackpole Carbon Company, retiring with over 40 years of service and had worked at her family's farm, the Joseph Erich Farm, for many years.
Shirley A. Schneider, 79, 118 Fairview Rd., Kersey, died Monday, Oct. 27, 2014 at Penn Highlands Elk after a lengthy illness.
She was born July 17, 1935 in Kersey, daughter of the late George and Caroline Stauffer Woelfel. She was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of Kersey High School, Class of 1953. She was a former employee of the Stackpole Carbon Company and retired from Osram Sylvania.
On June 23, 1956 in the St. Boniface Church, she married Gerald F. Schneider, who survives.
Inez M. Kneidel, 98, a resident of Elk Haven Nursing Home and formerly of 437 South St. Marys St., died Sunday, Oct. 26, 2014 at Elk Haven after a lengthy illness.
She was born Jan. 22, 1916 in Vigo Cavedine, Austria, daughter of the late Joseph E. and Angeline Berti Zamboldi. She was a graduate of New Bethlehem High School, Class of 1935 and became a resident of St. Marys in 1937. She was a retired co-owner of the former Family Market in St. Marys from 1954 until 1987.
On July 15, 1939 in the Sacred Heart Church, she married Charles W. â€śBuckâ€ť Kneidel, who preceded her in death.
William Francis Lunder, 65, of Oknefski Road in Ridgway, died unexpectedly Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2014.
He was born Dec. 1, 1948 in Ridgway, son of the late Leo W. and Ardis M. Oknefski Lunder.
He lived his whole life on Oknefski Road, and was a graduate of the Ridgway Area High School, Class of 1967.
During high school, he was employed at the Center Market, and afterwards he was employed at Motion Control for 44 years.
Bill loved life. He enjoyed farming, riding motorcycles, hunting and working on cars and his home.
Diane Marie Mayo, 28, of Ridgway Drive, Ridgway, died unexpectedly at home Sunday, Oct. 19, 2014.
She was born April 12, 1986, in Salem, Mass., daughter of David Rossi and Virginia Mayo.
She was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School, a member of the Salvation Army Church of Ridgway and St. Pias Church of Lynn, Mass., and loved to write poetry. She lived most of her life in Lynn, Mass. until she came to Ridgway in 2010.
Lucille M. Klotz, 89, formerly of 323 Allenhurst Ave., Ridgway, died Wednesday afternoon at Penn Highlands Elk following a lengthy illness.
She was born Nov. 6, 1924 in Kersey, daughter of the late Edward J. and Beatrice (Cuneo) Sheeley.
She married WIlliam George Klotz on June 14, 1948, and he preceded her in death on Nov. 20, 1985.
She had resided in Ridgway for many years, and she was a former Dagus Mines resident.
She was a member of the St. Leo Catholic Church, and she had been employed by Elk County General Hospital for over 40 years.
