Shawn T. Guido, 37, formerly of Byrnedale and recently of Jennerstown, died unexpectedly Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2011 in Ripon, Calif.
He was born June 15, 1973 in Erie, son of the late Thomas and Sharleen (Bruni) Guido.
He was raised in Byrnedale and lived the past year in Jennerstown. He was a 1991 graduate of St. Marys Area High School. He had attended Clearfield County Career and Technology Center and Penn College in Williamsport. He worked as a truck driver for Wright Knox Motor Lines in Armagh.
Grace Marie Braun, 82, of San Bernardino, Calif., died Feb. 16, 2011 due to heart failure.
She was born in St. Marys and resided in San Bernardino for 42 years.
She graduated from San Bernardino Community College in 1982. She was the choir director for Our Lady of the Rosary Cathedral for 15 years and was the choir director for St. Anthony's Catholic Church for over 10 years. She sang with the Canto Bello Chorale for 10 years. She was a teacher's assistant for 15 years in the Rialto School District.

Beulah F. Yale, 85, of Elk Haven Nursing Home, died Sunday, Feb. 20, 2011 at Elk Regional Health Center.
She was born May 30, 1925, in Cement, Okla., the daughter of the late Jessie C. and Clara G. Morris Riley.
She had been a Ridgway resident for 60 years. She was a member of the Elk Baptist Church in St. Marys. She was a charter member of the Ridgway Eagles Women's Auxiliary. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family and her pets. She had been employed at Clarion Sintered Metals, retiring in 1986.
Charles Raymond Carlson, 95, of 356 Toby Rd., Kersey, died Sunday evening Feb. 20, 2011 at the Lutheran Home in Kane.
He was born Dec. 13, 1915 in Shawmut, son of the late Carl J. and Ida (Peterson) Carlson.
In August of 1962, he married Marie Schreiber of Toby, who preceded him in death on Dec. 27, 2010.

Sheila A. Winslow, 30, of Weedville, died unexpectedly at home on Friday, Feb. 18, 2011.
She was born on Nov. 4, 1980, in DuBois, daughter of Brian Winslow and Mona Burke.
She lived all of her life in Clearfield, DuBois and Bennetts Valley, worked at Arete QIS in Kersey, and enjoyed music and especially playing the guitar.
Romaine M. Shannon, 74, of 415 Walnut Street, St. Marys, died Saturday, Feb. 19, 2011, surrounded by her family, at DuBois Regional Medical Center.
She was born March 12, 1936, in Kersey, daughter of the late Jerome E. and Theresa Gahr Copella.
On Aug. 25, 1956, in the St. Boniface Church, she married Terrence J. Shannon Sr., who survives.
Harold J. “Harry” Trievel, 76, of 531 85th Ave. N., St. Petersburg, FL, died Thursday, February 17, 2011 at Northside Hospital in St. Petersburg.
He was born Dec. 22, 1934, in Philadelphia, son of the late Harold M. and Rose M. Higgins Trievel.
On July 12, 1958, he married Concilia M. Martino, who preceded him in death on July 14, 2007.
LaJoy G. Newell, 85, of 148 Hemlock Road, St. Marys, died Sunday morning, Feb. 20, 2011 at the Elk Haven Nursing Home after an illness of the past year.
He was born on July 24, 1925, in St. Marys, son of the late Alton and Leona Hoffman Newell.
On Nov. 18, 1950, in the Guardian Angels Church in Coal Hollow, he married Virginia Dallasen, who survives.

Phyllis M. Kerr, 86, of 509 Woodland Ave., Johnsonburg, died Thursday, Feb. 17, 2011 at Pinecrest Manor in St. Marys following a lengthy illness.
She was born Feb. 26, 1924, in Johnsonburg, daughter of the late Edward and Anna Mullen Haser.
She married John L. Kerr on June 21, 1947 in Holy Rosary Church in Johnsonburg. He died on Oct. 1, 1998.
She resided in Johnsonburg all her life and graduated from Johnsonburg High School in 1942.
Thomas G. Anderson, 69, of 577 Kerner Ave., St. Marys, died Friday, Feb. 18, 2011 at Elk Regional Health Center following an illness of the past year.
He was born Sept. 3, 1941, in St. Marys, son of the late Arthur and Bertha Selle Anderson.
He was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of Central Catholic High School, Class of 1960. He was a retired employee of OSRAM Sylvania, retiring on Dec. 31, 1999, after 38 years of service.
On July 10, 1981, in the St. Mary's Church, he married Mary E. Nero, who survives.
