Richard L. "Dick" Clevenger Sr.

Richard L. “Dick” Clevenger Sr., of James City, died Thursday, November 3, 2011 at Kane Community Hospital after a brief illness.
Born August 17, 1938, in Fisher, he was a son of the late Benjamin and Dorothy Rhodes Clevenger.
Mr. Clevenger served in the U.S. Army from 1957 to 1960. Later in life, he joined the Army National Guard and served with the Kane Unit for 20 years. During that time they were deployed for service in support of Operation Desert Storm in Iraq.

Lisa M. Maholtz, 51, of Early Avenue, Ridgway, died Monday, Nov. 1, 2011 at home after a short illness.
She was born June 16, 1960 in Ridgway, the daughter of Kenneth and Elsie (DeLong) Maholtz, who survive.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by a daughter, Chasitie Edmisten of Ridgway; a granddaughter, Nevaeh Edmisten; and a sister, Helen Maholtz-Turner of North Carolina.
She was predeceased by her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy and Orpha DeLong and Mr. and Mrs. Frank and Amy Maholtz.

Janis M. Sample

Janis M. Sample, 53, of 148 School St., Kane, and formerly of Wilcox, died on Monday, Oct. 31, 2011 at Kane Community Hospital following a brief illness.
She was born on August 19, 1958 in Ridgway, daughter of Thomas J. and Dorothy Dush Redmond.
She married Jeffrey A. Sample on May 14, 1982. He survives.
She resided in Kane for the last 22 years. She graduated from Johnsonburg Area High School, Class of 1976 and from Median Technical School of Pittsburgh as an Animal Health Tech. She was employed by Kinzua Veterinary Clinic in Warren for 10 years.

Jane Tell

Jane Tell, 76, of Arroyo Road, Spring Creek Township, died Sunday, October 30, 2011, at her residence.
She was born April 1, 1935, in New Bethlehem, the daughter of the late Lester and Frances Reitz. On October 7, 1972, she married William Tell, who survives.

Virginia L. Fodge

Virginia L. Fodge, 74, of Fincastle, Va., previously of St. Marys, died Monday, Oct. 31, 2011 following a brief illness.
She was born Nov. 15, 1936 in Bethlehem to Edward and Hyla Snyder.
She resided in St. Marys most of her life, working for Stackpole Carbon and Powdered Metal Products. She was a member of Shiloh Presbyterian Church, Westminster Presbyterian of Escondido, Calif., Fincastle Presbyterian Church most recently, and the Presbyterian Women’s Organization. She was also an active member of the Brae and Beck Garden Club of Fincastle, Va.

William (Bill) H. Dyke

William (Bill) H. Dyke, 83, of Warren, died Sunday morning, Oct. 30, 2011 at his residence.
He was born in Warren on March 18, 1928, to the late George H. and Mary Lee E. Seekings Dyke.
On Oct. 4, 1947 near Plumer, Pa., he married Eleanor "Ellie" Mabon Dyke, who survives.

Clark A. Hawkins Ph.D.

Clark A. Hawkins Ph.D., 78, of 528 Sawmill Run Road, Kersey, died Thursday, October 27, 2011 at the Elk Regional Health Center.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service to be held in the Toby Methodist Church on Saturday, November 12, 2011 at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Joni Williams officiating. Burial will be in the Elkton Cemetery.
There will be no visitation.

Geraldine Ann Williams

Geraldine Ann Williams died on Thursday, October 6, 2011 after a courageous seven-year battle with cancer.
She was born to the late Silvio Frank and Celesta Ann Trentini Fenice on December 10, 1944 in Weedville.
She graduated as Salutatorian from Bennetts Valley High School in 1962.
She married J.C. “Buck" Williams III on January 14, 1967. They lived in Wilcox before relocating to Lewisburg, W.V. in 1994.
She worked at Airco Speer until starting a family and subsequently owned and operated Jayfor timber companies with her husband until their retirement.

James A. Neubert Jr.

James A. Neubert Jr., 66, of Erie, formerly of St. Marys, died at his home on Tuesday, October 25, 2011.
Born in St. Marys on November 5, 1944, he was the son of the late James A. and Victoria Kornacki Neubert Sr.
He married Josephine "Josie" Martin Neubert, who preceded him in death in 2003.
He was a graduate of Tech High and served 33 years in the U.S. Army and the U.S. Marine Corps with tours in Vietnam, Operation Enduring Freedom and the War on Terror until 2005.
He had worked at G.E. and as a cook at the Sisters of Mercy Motherhouse and Independence Court.

Helen R. Adams

Helen R. Adams, 90, of Mt. Pleasant Rd., Penfield, died Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at the DuBois Nursing Home after a short illness.
She was born July 15, 1921 in Port Vue, Pa., daughter of the late John Francis and Helen (McKenna) Moore.
She married Louis Adams on October 9, 1940. He preceded her in death on November 16, 2006.
