Loretta M. Kline, 94, a resident at Elk Haven Nursing Home in St. Marys, died Saturday, Nov. 15, 2014 at Elk Haven.
Loretta was born June 6, 1920 in Brandy Camp, daughter of the late Alfred and Myrtle Trumbull Ruth.
She was married to Theodore Kline, who died June 14, 1972.
Retired, Loretta had been employed at St. Marys Carbon. She was a lifelong member of the Brandy Camp United Methodist Church. Loretta enjoyed crocheting and needlework. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family, especially taking camping trips with her grandchildren.
Deborah A. Kronenwetter, 58, of 91 Wes Ln., St. Marys, died suddenly Sunday, Nov. 16, 2014 at her home.
She was born Nov. 2, 1956, a daughter of Richard Johnston and the late Helen Goodrow Johnston, who preceded her in death Jan. 26, 2010.
On April 8, 2006, she married David Kronenwetter, who survives.
Rose M. Sobierajski Haines, 85, of 122 Reserve Rd., St. Marys and formerly of Evers Avenue, died Saturday, Nov. 15 at Pinecrest Manor after a brief illness.
She was born Oct. 17, 1929 in St. Marys, daughter of the late Edward and Sabina Bauer Ehrensberger.
She was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of Central Catholic High School, Class of 1947. She was an LPN and had worked doing private duty nursing and had also worked at the former Extended Care Facility.
She was a member of St. Mary's Church, loved to play bingo and enjoyed being with her children and grandchildren.
Glen F. Daniel,Â 64, of St. Marys, died Thursday afternoon, Nov. 13, 2014, surrounded by close friends and loved ones.
He was born Sept. 15, 1950 in St. Marys, a son of the late James and Eileen Hepner Daniel.
Glen graduated from Alford State College where he began his career as a high school biology teacher. The last 20 years, he worked as a chemist at Plum Borough Water Treatment Plant in Monroeville before his retirement.
He is survived by a brother, Kenneth (Rita) Daniel of St. Augustine, Fla.; a niece, Erin; and his longtime friend, Willa Amacher of St. Marys.
Dr. George A. Kunkel, 91, died peacefully Wednesday evening, Nov. 12, 2014.
He was born June 26, 1923 in Pittsburgh, one of six children to the late Frank and Agnes Nolan Kunkel.
Dr. Kunkel was a member of St. John the Evangelist RC Church. He enlisted in the United States Army at the beginning of World War II and was stationed for three years on the island of EspĂrito Santo in the South Pacific.
Joseph M. Verbka, 46, of Cabot, died unexpectedly Sunday, Nov. 9, 2014 at Butler Memorial Hospital.
He was born Nov. 8, 1968 in St. Marys, son of Rudy and the late Joan (Gresock) Verbka of Kersey.
Joe received his bachelor's degree from Gannon University and his master's degree from Ball State University.Â He loved archaeology and was a regional archaeology supervisor for PennDOT.
Lauren K. Storer, 64, of 132 Terrace Rd., St. Marys, died Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2014 at Pinecrest Manor after a lengthy illness.
She was born April 18, 1950 in St. Marys, daughter of the late Raymond â€śJackâ€ť and Virginia Webster Schauer.
She was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of St. Marys Area High School, Class of 1968. She was also a 1972 graduate of Lock Haven University.
She was a former teacher at Sacred Heart School and a former employee of Pfaffâ€™s Market.
Evelyn M. Claypool, 84, of 105 Fern Ln., Kersey, died Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2014 at Penn Highlands Elk after a brief illness.
She was born May 1, 1930 in Kersey, daughter of the late Irvin and Magdeline Minnich Wonderly. She was a lifelong resident of the area and attended Kersey schools. She was a retired employee of Elco Sintered Alloys, and had worked at the former Central Restaurant and the former Little Skipper.
On May 24, 1952 in Ridgway, she married Donald R. Claypool who preceded her in death on July 20, 1995.
Mary Jane DeLullo, 68, of DuBois, formerly from Bennetts Valley, died Saturday night, Nov. 8, 2014.
She was a resident at Mountain Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield.
Born in DuBois on Sept. 17, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Louis J. and Frances R. (Pirraglia) DeLullo.
Betty J. Olmstead Calla, 90, of 6540 Ridgway-Johnsonburg Rd., Johnsonburg, died Monday morning, Nov. 10, 2014 at Ridgeview Elder Care in Curwensville following a lengthy illness.
She was born March 21, 1924 in Niagara Falls, N.Y., daughter of the late Louis Olmstead and Leona Norlin Olmstead McMahon.
She resided in Johnsonburg most of her life and attended Johnsonburg High School.
