Alice P. Garver of 208 Zambori St., Reynoldsville, died Sunday, Jan. 8, 2012 at Christ The King Manor in DuBois.
Garver was born on Feb. 22, 1934 in Allans Mills, daughter of the late William D. Stauffer and Mary C. Barnett Stauffer.
She married Arnold W. Garver, who preceded her in death on June 13, 2003.
She retired as an employee of Munot Plastics of Erie after 10 years of service. She was a member of Roseville Independent Chapel in Brookville.
Larry D. Knisely, 64, of Bennetts Valley Highway, Penfield, died Sunday, Jan. 8, 2012 at DRMC after a lengthy illness.
He was born Sept. 3, 1947 in Renovo, son of the late Elmer Belden and Bernice Knisely.
On June 5, 1970, he married Diana (Caliari) Knisely, who survives.
He served in the Army from 1966 to 1968, receiving the National Defense and Good Conduct Medals. He also worked for five years as Foreman and hyster driver for Metal Wire of Driftwood; three years with Brockway Clay; and 29 years with Carbide Graphite of St. Marys; Falcon Transport, CJ Packing and Catalone Pipe Supply.¬†
John A. Fedus, 79, of 7965 Laurel Mill Rd., Ridgway, died Sunday morning, Jan. 8, 2011 at Elk Regional Health Center.
He was born May 15, 1932, in Johnsonburg, son of the late Charles and Anna (Bedner) Fedus.
On Sept. 29, 1956, he married Edith T. Strauss, who survives.
He had resided in Ridgway for the last 55 years and was a member of St. Leo Catholic Church and a member of the American Legion Post #208. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was a veteran of the Korean conflict.
Eileen J. "Cissy" Wortman, 94, a resident of Elk Haven Nursing Home in St. Marys, and formerly of 179 E. 4th Street, Emporium,
died on Thursday, January 5, 2012 at Elk Haven Nursing Home following a lengthy illness.
She was born July 28, 1917 in St. Marys, a daughter of the late Gervase and Kathryn Stockman Rigard.
She was married to the late Regis "Wheatie" Wortman, who preceded her in death in January 2000.
Leo F. Greenthaner, 88, a resident of Silver Creek Terrace, St. Marys, died unexpectedly Friday morning, Jan. 6, 2012 at Elk Regional Health Center.
He was born Dec. 20, 1923 in Cadogan, son of the late Fred and Mary Kurzinger Greenthaner.
On September 11, 1958 in Emporium, he married Alice Louise McMaster, who preceded him in death on April 9, 2010.
He was a lifelong resident of the area and attended New Bethlehem schools. He was a retired employee of the Stackpole Carbon Corp., retiring in 1986 after 38 years of service.
Betty M. Wonderly, 75, of 938 Troup Valley Hill Rd., Mount Pleasant Mills, and formerly of Kersey, died suddenly on Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at Elk Regional Health Center.
She was born Feb. 17, 1936 in Kersey, a daughter of the late Irwin Sylvester and Madeline Minnick Wonderly.
Betty spent many years caring for and kenneling dogs, and had a great love for her dog, Dee Dee.¬†She enjoyed spending time with her family and especially enjoyed coming home to spend Christmas with them ever year.¬†She also enjoyed shopping and crafts.
Cynthia J. "Cindy" Wise, 59, of Ebensburg, died on Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2011 at Windber Hospice following a two-year battle with cancer.
She was born July 15, 1952 in Spangler, daughter of the late Clyde C. and Rose A. (Flick) Kelly.
On Nov. 24, 1978, she married D. Bruce Wise, who survives.
She had been employed at the former Laurel Bank (FNB) and in the office of Wise Trailer Sales, a business she owned with her husband.

James D. Lodes, 69, of 11 Mertz Avenue, St. Marys, died unexpectedly on Thursday, December 29, 2011 at his home.
He was born April 15, 1942 in St. Marys, a son of the late Edward A. and Catherine G. Fritz Lodes.
Mr Lodes was a lifelong resident of the area and attended Sacred Heart and Central Catholic schools.¬†He had worked at Powdered Metal Products and had also worked at Penn Pallet for many years.¬† He enjoyed hunting, Ô¨Āshing and was known for his love of dogs.
Vivian Bernadene Hanes Leehan, 74, of Edinboro, died Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2011 at St. Vincent Health Center after a brief illness.
She was born in St. Marys, on May 20, 1937, a daughter of the late Barbara Reuscher Hanes.
Vivian had many passions in life, first and foremost was her love for her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved traveling, gardening, lawn work, bingo, bowling and golfing. Vivian lived to care for her children and her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by everyone.
Phyllis J. Terwilliger, 62, of 114 Flagstone Rd., St. Marys, died on Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2011 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh following a lengthy illness.
She was born Feb. 4, 1949 in DuBois, a daughter of the late Harry and Alice Clark Nichols.
On Jan. 21, 1967 in Brockway, she married Harold Terwilliger, who survives.
Mrs. Terwiliger worked for many years at the Corner Restaurant and enjoyed her many years as a waitress.¬†She also
enjoyed sewing, playing bingo and playing video games with her family.¬†Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her
