Genevieve (Jibby) M. Aiello, 82, of 126 South St., Ridgway, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2011 at her residence.
She was born May 2, 1929 in St. Marys, daughter of the late John H. and Genevieve Elizabeth (Benninger) Smith. She married John Joseph Aiello on Aug. 8, 1956, and he survives.
Dr. Joseph H. Jones, 79, of Fort Myers, Fla., died on Sunday, Dec. 25, 2011.
He was born Jan. 24, 1932 in Philadelphia, a son of the late Joseph H. and Florence (Bradway) Jones Sr.
Formerly of Millville, N.J., Joseph had been a resident of Fort Myers since 1991. He was a proud graduate of Logan College of Chiropractic University in St. Louis, Mo. After graduation, Dr. Jones opened his own practice, serving the community of Millville, N.J. as a chiropractor for 40 years.
Diane M. Boroi, 65, of 461 Toby Rd., Kersey, died early Tuesday morning, Dec. 27, 2011, at Pinecrest Manor following a lengthy illness.
She was born Sept. 30, 1946, in Ridgway, daughter of the late Edwin and Dorothy (Miles) Swanson. On July 31, 1965, she married Irvin J. Boroi, who preceded her in death on Dec. 7, 2001.
She had resided in Kersey most of her life and was a member of the Toby United Methodist Church, the Fox Township Ambulance Service, the Fox Township Fire Department Auxiliary, and had been a Girl Scout leader. She had been employed by state Rep. Dan Surra.
Judy A. Fry died on Friday, Dec. 23, 2011 in Â Las Vegas, Nev.
She was born on Aug. 26, 1947 in St. Marys, the daughter of Doris Huggler Stockman, who survives, and the late John E. Stockman.Â
Judy attended St. Marys Catholic schools and graduated from Elk County Christian High School in 1964.
Nancy L. Jones, 74, of Chestnut Street, St. Marys, died Sunday, Dec. 25, 2011 at Pinecrest Manor after a lengthy illness.
She was born March 20, 1937 in Johnsonburg, the daughter of the late Paul and Helene (Kilhoffer) Stahli.
She was born and raised in Johnsonburg, lived 30 years in Ridgway and the past 15 years in St. Marys. She was a graduate of Johnsonburg High School, Class of 1954. She worked as a secretary for Ridgway Color, Bethlehem Lutheran Church and the Elk County Prison Warden, retiring in 2009.
Joseph A. Hillebrand, 88, of 74 Erie Avenue and formerly of Windfall Road, St. Marys, died on Saturday, Dec. 24, 2011 at Allied Skilled Nursing Center in Scranton.
He was born July 21, 1923 in St. Marys, a son of the late Peter and Mary Zoschg Hillebrand.
On June 4, 1944 in St. Marys, he married Patricia M. McMackin Hillebrand, who survives.
Mr. Hillebrand was a member of St. Mary's Church.Â He graduated from Central High School and retired from Stackpole Carbon Company after many years of service.Â He was a member of the K of C and the St. Marys Sportsmens Club.
Anthony John D'Amore Sr., 76, of 977 Johnsonburg Rd., died at his residence on Dec. 25, 2011 following a brief illness.
He was born June 11, 1935, the son of the late Nicola and Michelina Colontonio D'Amore. He married his wife, Lois Forster, in the St. Maryâ€™s Church on Feb. 25, 1966. She survives.
Florence S. Curley, 86, of State College, died Friday, Dec. 23, 2011, at the Fairways at Brookline Village.
She was born March 16, 1925, in St. Marys, the daughter of Ralph and Thecla Schatz. She married William N. Curley on Aug. 27, 1947, and he preceded her in death on June 26, 1996.
She received her bachelorâ€™s degree from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1947.
Frank W. Sekelsky, 91, of 14 Kane St., Wilcox, died Friday afternoon, Dec. 23, 2011 at Pinecrest Manor in St. Marys following a lengthy illness.
He was born on Feb. 28, 1920, in Johnsonburg, son of the late John and Katherine Knopic Sekelsky. He married Wanda Waskiewicz on Sept. 30, 1944 in Holy Cross Church, Rasselas. She survives.
Michael P. Neizmik, 87, of 117 Thunder Rd., St. Marys, died Friday, Dec. 23, 2011, at the DuBois Nursing Home after a brief illness.
He was born Feb. 12, 1924, in Pittsfield, son of the late Michael and Anna Ronanak Neizmik.
He attended Warren County schools and had resided in St. Marys since 1960. He had been employed as an ironworker.
On June 14, 1952, in Irwin, he married Elizabeth (Betty) Klenke, who survives.
He was a member of the Sacred Heart Church and was a veteran of WWII, having served in the Army.
