Janice S. Wilson, 74, of West Center Street, Johnsonburg, died Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at Pinecrest Manor following a brief illness.
She was born October 2, 1936 in Ridgway, son of the late Leo â€śPatâ€ť and Carolyn (Harriger) Divany.
Andrew Patrick, 85, of 313 Clarion Rd., Johnsonburg, died on Wednesday evening, May 11, 2011 at his residence.
He was born on Feb. 2, 1926 in Wilcox, son of the late John and Mary Yankovich Patrick.
He married Marion A. Sprague on July 5, 1952 in Sheffield. She died on Oct. 10, 1990.
He resided in Johnsonburg most of his life and graduated from Johnsonburg High School. He was a member of Holy Rosary Church and Central Hose Co.
He was a Navy veteran, having served in World War II in the Pacific Theater as a Seaman 1st Class with the 10th Beach Battalion and aboard the USS Griggs.
Joan G. Hoffman, 81, formerly of 696 JoJo Rd., Kane, died Tuesday, May 10, 2011, at the Lutheran Home at Kane.
Born April 10, 1930, in St. Marys, she was a daughter of the late Albin and Gertrude Kaiser Kraus.Â
On Sept. 6, 1948, in St. Marys, she married Paul R. Hoffman Sr., who preceded her in death in 2003.
Ronald E. "Dingo" Bullers, 64, of 416 Mill St., Johnsonburg, died Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at Hamot Medical Center in Erie following a brief illness.
He was born on Nov. 7, 1946 in Ridgway, son of the late William L. and Hattie Schenk Bullers.
He resided in Johnsonburg all his life and graduated from Johnsonburg High School in 1964. He belonged to the Central Hose Co., Kane Country Club, Johnsonburg Elks Club and Rolfe Sportsmen's Club. He was a former Knothole, Little League and American Legion baseball coach and was an avid golfer.
Barbara A. Anderson, 70, of 293 Coal Hollow Rd., Kersey, died Wednesday morning, May 11, 2011, at her home after a lengthy illness.
She was born Feb. 13, 1941 in Erie and had been a resident of the Kersey area since 1964.
She attended Johnsonburg schools.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Donald P. Himes Sr., on Sept. 26, 1971. On July 7, 1973, in St. Marys, she married Ronald L. Anderson, who preceded her in death on Nov. 29, 2008.
Mrs. Anderson enjoyed her grandchildren, making afghans and being with her family and friends.
Josephine N. Bojalad, 74, of West Weber Avenue, DuBois, died Monday, May 9, 2011 at the DuBois Regional Medical Center.
She was born on Oct. 12, 1936 in Pike Township, Clearfield County, the daughter of the late John and Agnes (Berkey) Newell.
She graduated from Huston Township High School in 1954. She was a member of the Hickory Methodist Church and retired from Brockway Glass after 32 years of service. She loved family reunions, grandchildren, flowers and crossword puzzles.
Edna Kronenwetter, 87, a resident of Elk Haven Nursing Home for the past eight years and a former resident of Elk Towers, died Sunday, May 8, 2011 at Elk Haven Nursing Home following a lengthy illness.
She was born Dec. 15, 1922, in Bally, Pa., daughter of the late Harvey H. and Mary K. Strouse Gehman.
She attended Bally Schools and had resided in St. Marys since 1991. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and enjoyed cooking for family and friends.
Gertrude K. â€śTrudieâ€ť Luke, 83 of 14 Lafferty Hollow, Bradford, formerly of 1208 South Ave., Bradford, died on Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at the Bradford Regional Medical Center.
She was born on March 24, 1928 in St. Marys, a daughter of the late Henry N. and Marguerite N. Cooney Wolfe.
On Jan. 8, 1955 in the St. Bernard Catholic Church, Bradford, she married Kenneth J. Luke, who preceded her in death on March 24, 2008.
She was a 1946 graduate of St. Marys Catholic High School in St. Marys and a 1949 graduate of the St. Vincent School of Nursing, Erie, PA.
Joseph M. Michuck, 77, a resident of Elk Haven Nursing Home and formerly of 661 Pontzer Ave., St. Marys, died early Wednesday morning, May 4, 2011, at Elk Haven following a lengthy illness.
He was born Dec. 13, 1933 in Force, son of the late Joseph and Lucille Benevich Michuck.
He was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of Weedville High School. He was a retired employee of the Stackpole Carbon Co., retiring with more than 35 years of service. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Church, the PFL, the Moose, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Lola M. Haynes, 88, of Pinecrest Manor, died Monday, May 2, 2011, at her residence.
She was born Jan. 18, 1923, in Austin, the daughter of Harold and Delores Shepard Major. She married Lester E. Haynes, who predeceased her in October 1958.
She had been a Ridgway resident since 1962. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, where she was also a member of the choir. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She had been employed as a housekeeper for the Bogart Hotel.
