Edmund Frayne Adamson Sr., 88, died Monday, Feb. 3, 2014 at the Communities at Indiana Haven.
He was born July 21, 1925 in Washington Township, Indiana County, son of George Edward and Molly Lillie (Jewart) Adamson.
Surviving is his grandson, Thomas Steis and his mother, Sherry Steis, both of Johnsonburg; a brother, Gerald E. Adamson and his wife Virginia â€śJeanâ€ť Adamson of Homer City; two great-grandsons, Jordan Frayne Earl Steis and Kody Ray Steis; and many nieces and nephews.
Helen R. Feile, 99, of 453 North Michael Street, St. Marys, died Sunday, Feb. 9, 2014, at the Pinecrest Manor after a brief illness.
She was born Nov. 15, 1914 in St. Marys, daughter of the late Francis and Theresa Gabler Robinson. On Dec. 31, 1941 in the St. Maryâ€™s Church, she married Evard F. â€śEvâ€ť Feile, who preceded her in death on Nov. 17, 1988.
She was a lifelong resident of the area and attended St. Marys schools. She was a former employee of Sylvania.
William J. "Big G" Grimone, 79, of 72 Erie Ave, Apt 106, St. Marys, formerly of Emporium, died at Christ the King Manor in DuBois on Monday Feb. 10, 2014.
He was born Jan. 4, 1935 in Emporium, a son of the late Leo and Ida Razey Grimone.
On April 7, 1956 in St. Mark Catholic Church, Emporium he married Margaret Kinsler Grimone, who survives.
Margaret M. Diem, 40, of 195 Uhl Road, Kersey died on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014, at UPMC Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh following a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born on Jan. 8, 1974 in St. Marys, a daughter of Daniel Tucker of Glen Hazel and Connie Socash of St. Marys.
On June 30, 2012, she married Harry Diem,who survives.
Margaret was a graduate of SMAHS and a graduate of Penn State University.Â She had been employed at MexAmerica for many years and was a member of the Eagles.Â She enjoyed gardening, working out and camping.Â Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Bernard J. "Sonny" Greenthaner, 94, of 1716 Bucktail Trail, St. Marys, died Sunday, Feb. 9, 2014 at the Elk Regional Health Center after a brief illness.
He was born Sept. 4, 1919 in Cadogan, son of the late Fred and Mary Kurzinger Greenthaner. He was a lifelong resident of the area and attended schools in Cadogan. He was a retired employee of Modern Dairy. He was a member of Queen of the World Church, enjoyed gardening and was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates fan.
On June 20, 1946, he married Helen Nagy who preceded him in death in January 2006.
Carol M. Parisi, 69, of 501 Townview Rd., St. Marys, formerly of Emporium, died at her residence early Sunday morning, Feb. 9, 2014.
She was born May 23, 1944 in St. Marys, daughter of the late Floyd Wickett and Ann Unick.
Carol worked at Walmart for many years where she enjoyed meeting new people and socializing with her coworkers. Carol's grandchildren, who held a special place in her heart, were the joy of her life along with her many "forever friends."
Bernice A. Krivonyak, 55, of 136 Hollow St., Kersey, died unexpectedly Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014, at her home.
She was born Jan. 12, 1959 in New Haven, Conn., daughter of the late Rudolph Gornati and Elizabeth Shadd Gornati, who survives of Kersey. She was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of St. Marys Area High School. She was currently employed at Walmart.
On April 20, 1979 in the St. Boniface Church, she married Michael J. Krivonyak, who survives.
George P. Gasbarre, 92, of 39936 State St., Ridgway, died unexpectedly Thursday morning, Feb. 6, 2014 at the home of his son Joseph in Ridgway.
He was born March 17, 1921 in Ridgway, son of the late Louis and Columbia (Sidoni) Gasbarre.
He married Philomena Nellie A. Mann on May 28, 1946, she preceded him in death on Dec. 14, 1998.
He had resided in Ridgway all of his life and was a member of St. Leo Catholic Church, the K of C where he was a 4th Degree in the St. Marys Assembly, was a past Grand Knight of the Frank Servidia Council, and was a life member of the Ridgway Moose.
Bonita A. â€śBonnieâ€ť Morelli, 59, of 346 South Kersey Rd., Kersey, died Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014, at her home after a long and valiant fight with cancer.
She was born July 16, 1954 in Ridgway, daughter of the late Silvio and Onorina DeCecchis Cesa. She was a lifelong resident of the area, was a graduate of St. Marys Area High School, Class of 1972, and was a 1980 graduate of Jeff Tech Nursing School. She had been an employee of Sylvania, Andrew Kaul Memorial Hospital, the Ridgway Hospital, the former Family Planning Center in Ridgway, and was a nurse for the St. Marys Area School District.
Carmen A. Holmes, 59, a former St. Marys resident, died unexpectedly Friday, Jan. 31, 2014 in Wales, U.K.
She was born Oct. 17, 1954 in Aibonito, Puerto Rico. She was a graduate of high school in Puerto Rico and of the University of San Juan. She was a former employee of Spherion in St. Marys.
Mrs. Holmes served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War as an M.P., was an avid bingo player, enjoyed using the computer and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
On Aug. 31, 1973, in Alabama, she married Timothy J. Holmes, who preceded her in death on Oct. 24, 2006.
