Inez M. Kneidel

Inez M. Kneidel, 98, a resident of Elk Haven Nursing Home and formerly of 437 South St. Marys St., died Sunday, Oct. 26, 2014 at Elk Haven after a lengthy illness.
She was born Jan. 22, 1916 in Vigo Cavedine, Austria, daughter of the late Joseph E. and Angeline Berti Zamboldi. She was a graduate of New Bethlehem High School, Class of 1935 and became a resident of St. Marys in 1937. She was a retired co-owner of the former Family Market in St. Marys from 1954 until 1987.
On July 15, 1939 in the Sacred Heart Church, she married Charles W. “Buck” Kneidel, who preceded her in death.

William Francis Lunder

William Francis Lunder, 65, of Oknefski Road in Ridgway, died unexpectedly Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2014.
He was born Dec. 1, 1948 in Ridgway, son of the late Leo W. and Ardis M. Oknefski Lunder.
He lived his whole life on Oknefski Road, and was a graduate of the Ridgway Area High School, Class of 1967.
During high school, he was employed at the Center Market, and afterwards he was employed at Motion Control for 44 years.
Bill loved life. He enjoyed farming, riding motorcycles, hunting and working on cars and his home.

Diane Marie Mayo

Diane Marie Mayo, 28, of Ridgway Drive, Ridgway, died unexpectedly at home Sunday, Oct. 19, 2014.
She was born April 12, 1986, in Salem, Mass., daughter of David Rossi and Virginia Mayo.
She was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School, a member of the Salvation Army Church of Ridgway and St. Pias Church of Lynn, Mass., and loved to write poetry. She lived most of her life in Lynn, Mass. until she came to Ridgway in 2010.

Lucille M. Klotz

Lucille M. Klotz, 89, formerly of 323 Allenhurst Ave., Ridgway, died Wednesday afternoon at Penn Highlands Elk following a lengthy illness.
She was born Nov. 6, 1924 in Kersey, daughter of the late Edward J. and Beatrice (Cuneo) Sheeley.
She married WIlliam George Klotz on June 14, 1948, and he preceded her in death on Nov. 20, 1985.
She had resided in Ridgway for many years, and she was a former Dagus Mines resident.
She was a member of the St. Leo Catholic Church, and she had been employed by Elk County General Hospital for over 40 years.

Donald E. Angelo

Donald E. Angelo, 70, of Spring Run Road, Weedville, died suddenly Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2014 at Penn Highlands Elk.
He was born June 23, 1944 in Force, son of the late David and Rose (Zambanini) Angelo.
On May 23, 1964, he married Nancy (Schneider), and she survives.
He was a graduate of Bennetts Valley High School.
Don was retired, being a truck driver most of his life and a school bus driver for Michelini Bus Co. for many years.

Joseph T. Renwick, 73, of 133 Terrace Rd., St. Marys, died surrounded by his family on Sunday, Oct. 19, 2014 at the Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh after a lengthy illness.

David J. Hefter

David J. Hefter, 67, of 162 Larch Rd., St. Marys, died Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2014 at his residence after a short battle with pancreatic cancer.
He was born Nov. 10, 1946 in Detroit, Mich., son of the late Roland Hefter and Christina LaBuda Hefter, who survives, of Michigan. He was a graduate of De La Salle Collegiate High School, and attended Henry Ford Community College, Wayne State University, and The University of Michigan. Dave was a former resident of Lakewood, Colo. and most recently, St. Marys. 

Carol L. Hahn

Carol L. Hahn, 96, of 185 Center St., Elk Towers, St. Marys and formerly of Hollywood, died Saturday, Oct. 18, 2014, at Penn Highlands Elk after a brief illness.
She was born Dec. 25, 1917 in Bradford, daughter of the late George and Bertha (Paul) Courtright. She had been a resident of St. Marys the past seven years and attended Bradford Area Schools. She was a former employee of Zippo in Bradford, Sylvania in Emporium, and Stackpole Carbon in St. Marys.
On Feb. 12, 1948 in Olean, N.Y., she married Raymond M. Hahn, who preceded her in death in 1983.

Louis J. "Poncho" Cherry

Louis J. "Poncho" Cherry, 90, of Elk Haven Nursing Home, St. Marys, died early Sunday morning, Oct. 19, 2014 at Elk Haven Nursing Home following a lengthy illness.
He was born Nov. 26, 1923 in Johnsonburg, son of the late Thomas Cherry and Rose Grenci Borello Cherry.
On July 27, 1963 in Holy Rosary Church, Johnsonburg, he married Ruth A. Calla. She died Aug. 27, 1997.
He resided in Johnsonburg all his life and was a 1942 Johnsonburg High School graduate.
