David Thomas Mosier, 46, of Stormstown and formerly of Kersey and Coeur dâ€™Alene, Idaho, died unexpectedly Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012.
Born April 9, 1966, in Kersey, he was the son of William L. and Elizabeth A. McMackin Mosier. He married Laura Hargrove on Aug. 18, 1990 in State College, and she survives.
Harold A. Bundy, 84, of Beechtree Lane in Reynoldsville, went to be with his Lord on Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012. He died at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Presbyterian.
Born on June 9, 1928 in DuBois, he was the son of the late Raymond E. and Roxie P. (Spicher) Bundy. On Jan. 3, 1948, he married Betty B. (Shaffer) Bundy, who survives.
He had worked for 10 years at Troutmanâ€™s Department Store. He also was an over-the-road truck driver for Riverside Markets for over 30 years.
Ralph E. â€śYoâ€ť LaVelle, 77, of 415 North St. Marys St., died Sunday evening, Nov. 4, 2012, at the Elk Regional Health Center following a brief illness. A dedicated family man, proud veteran and member of the Yankton Sioux Tribe, Yo passed peacefully surrounded by his loving family.
Carol A. Dornish, 75, of 72 Erie Ave., St. Marys, and formerly of Poplar Road, died Monday morning, Nov. 5, 2012, at her residence after a brief illness.
She was born Oct. 16, 1937 in St. Marys, daughter of the late George C. and Avis L. Peckham Goodreau. On Feb. 7, 1959 in the Queen of the World Church, she married Charles T. Dornish, who preceded her in death in 1989.
She was a lifelong resident of the area and attended St. Marys schools. She was a former employee of Stackpole, with 24 years of service and had also worked at Flanniganâ€™s, the Elk Casino and the Elks Club.
Monica G. Defranco, 89, of 207 Grandview Rd., St. Marys, died Friday evening, Nov. 2, 2012, at the Pinecrest Manor.
She was born Dec. 1, 1922 in St. Marys, daughter of the late Ambrose and Mae Kerner Bauer. On June 28, 1948 in the St. Maryâ€™s Church, she married Fred T. Defranco, who survives.
Mrs. Defranco was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of Central Catholic High School, Class of 1940. She was a former employee of Sylvania and a member of the Queen of the World Church.
Shelley L. Robuck, 56, of 510 Third Ave., Johnsonburg, died on Friday morning, Nov. 2, 2012 at UPMC Hamot Medical Center in Erie following a lengthy illness.
She was born on Dec. 13, 1955 in Kane, daughter of the late Richard and Shirley Polinski Disque.
She married David E. Robuck on June 15, 1974 in the Wilcox Lutheran Church. He survives.
Shelley resided in Johnsonburg since her marriage. She graduated from Johnsonburg Area High School in 1974 and was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Johnsonburg.
Gail F. (Facchine) Forbes, 65, of Greensburg, died Friday, Nov. 2, 2012 at home.
She was born on Aug. 6, 1947 in St. Marys, daughter of the late Guido and Mary Wurm Facchine.
Gail was a graduate of Elk County Christian High School and Seton Hill College. She received her Masters in Teaching at the University of Pittsburgh. She taught fourth grade and was the Instructional Support teacher at Mt. View School in Latrobe prior to retiring in 2004.
Richard H. "Dick" Farnsworth, 71, of 811 Washington St., St. Marys, died at his home on Friday, Nov. 2, 2012 following a battle with cancer.
He was born Aug. 20, 1941 in New Millport, a son of the late Russell and Bertha Chittister Farnsworth.
On Feb. 4, 1967 in St. Mary's Church, he married Joan Hoffman Farnsworth, who survives.
Dick was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having been discharged in January of 1968. He made his career working at St. Marys Carbon and Stackpole Carbon Company. He also spent time as a truck driver and working at the All American Car Wash.
Earl C. Lecker, 78, of St. Marys, died peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012 while visiting his daughter, Amy Lecker Lynn, in Bristow, Va.
Earl was born May 27, 1934 in St. Marys, a son of the late Norbert and Caroline Lecker, and was one of 11 children.
On Nov. 21, 1951, he joined the U.S. Navy and fought in the Korean War. He devoted four years of his life serving our country, and was very proud to be a Korean War veteran.
Paula R. Carr, 65, of E. Scribner Ave., DuBois, died on Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2012 at the DuBois Nursing Home.
She was born on Oct. 12, 1947 in DuBois, daughter of the late Paul and Mary Buskirk Bloom.
Paula was a member of the V.F.W. Club in DuBois. She was Methodist by faith. She also enjoyed dancing, taking walks and camping. Above all, she loved spending time and being with Harry Hepburn.
Paula had worked in the housekeeping department at the DuBois Regional Medical Center.
