Bernice A. Chase, 83, recently of Elk Haven Nursing Home and formerly of Silver Creek Terrace and 310 W. Mill Street, St. Marys, died on Monday June 6, 2011 at Elk Haven Nursing Home following a brief illness.
She was born February 14, 1928 in St. Marys, a daughter of the late Cornelius and Beatrice Lawton Haney.
On August 26, 1965 in Sacred Heart Church, she married Joseph J. Chase, who survives.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Church. She worked at Stackpole Carbon for more than 23 years and enjoyed reading and spending time with her grandchildren.
Paul C. “Ladd” Stahli, 88, of Oak Street, Johnsonburg, died Sunday, June 5, 2011 at UPMC Hamot of Erie after a brief illness.
He was born December 24, 1922 in Ridgway, son of the late Paul J. and Helena A. (Kilhoffer) Stahli.
On October 11, 1947, he married Florence “Sisser” (Yonker) Stahli, who preceded him in death on March 26, 2001. Â

Lucille C. "Lucy" Deemer, 78, of Pinecrest Manor and formerly of 108 Irishtown Road, Kersey, died on Saturday, June 4, 2011 at Pinecrest Manor.
She was born May 2, 1924 in Johnsonburg, a daughter of the late Oran and Elizabeth Silvis Corbet. On March 24, 1944 in Brookville, she married the late Charles Lee Deemer Sr., who preceded her in death on October 17, 1976.
Arthur N. Hillebrand, 82, of 1046 E. Eschbach Road, St. Marys, died on Saturday, June 4, 2011 at Hamot Medical Center in Erie following a short illness.
He was born December 6, 1928 in Ambridge, a son of the late Joseph and Ida Hillebrand.
On October 28, 1950, in St. Mary's Church, he married the late Lillian "Mickie" Samick Hillebrand, who preceded him in death on December 5, 1995.

Noah Allen Miller, son of Joshua Miller and Jessica Klink of St. Marys, was stillborn on Wednesday, June 1, 2011.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his paternal and maternal grandparents.
A blessing and committal service for Noah Allen Miller will be held in the St. Mary's Cemetery on Friday, June 3, 2011 at 1 p.m.
William A. Schena, 72, of Cowley Hill Rd., Austin, died suddenly Monday, May 30, 2011 at the James E. Van Zandt VA Medical Center of Altoona.
He was born Aug. 27, 1938, in Weedville, son of the late Andrew "Godfrey" and Angelina (Martioni) Schena.
George R. DiNardo, 88, formerly of 707 First Ave., Johnsonburg, died Sunday at Elk Haven Nursing Home following a lengthy illness.
He was born Feb. 13, 1923, in Johnsonburg, son of the late Raphael and Serifina (Marrone) DiNardo.
He married Margaret (Mitzie) V. Geci on Nov. 28, 1946 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church in St. Marys. She preceded him in death on June 2, 1970.
Kathryn E. Fustine, 85, of 1144 Alexander St., Brockway, died Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at Highland View Health Care Center in Brockway.
She was born July 12, 1925 in Brockway, the daughter of the late Henry and Minnie Patterson Mooney. On March 5, 1946, at St. Tobias Church in Brockway, she married Henry A. Fustine, who survives.
Edna L. Erich Kastner, 84, of 108 Irishtown Rd., Kersey, died Monday, May 30, 2011, at the Elk Regional Health Center after a brief illness.
She was born June 14, 1926, in St. Marys, daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret Benninger Erich.
She was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of St. Marys High School, Class of 1944. She had worked as an assistant cook at the St. Boniface School and had volunteered at the school.
On Nov. 15, 1947, in the St. Mary's Church, she married Donald Kastner, who preceded her in death on Oct. 29, 1973.

Chester H. Huth D.D.S., 94, of 400 N. Michael St., St. Marys, died Saturday evening, May 28, 2011 at Elk Regional Health Center following a brief illness.
He was born Sept. 2, 1916, in Gardenville, N.Y., son of the late William A. and Helen Pletscher Huth. On Jan. 29, 1946, in Pittsburgh, he married Marie Jean Schmitt, who survives.
He was a resident of St. Marys since 1962. He attended elementary school in Gardenville, N.Y., and graduated from high school in Buffalo, N.Y. He was also a 1944 graduate of the University of Buffalo School of Dentistry.
