Lucy Ann Salvatore Wood, 73, of Erie, died Monday, June 11, 2012.
She was born in St. Marys on March 14, 1939, daughter of the late Lawrence and Elizabeth Meyer Salvatore.
Lucy was a graduate of St. Marys High School, Class of 1957. She was a longtime employee of Mellon Bank, having been a teller and in customer service. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church, was the former treasurer of the Tri State Country Music Association, the Moose Club, and the Girard American Legion Post 494.
Yvonne J. Anderson, 50, of 432 Chestnut St., St. Marys, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at Elk Regional Health Center,.
She was born Aug. 26, 1961 in St. Marys, a daughter of Robert "Andy" Anderson and Elizabeth "Betty" Young Anderson, who survive.
Yvonne was a lifelong resident of the area and graduated from SMAHS.Â She was a member of Sacred Heart Church and had worked at Eastern Sintered Alloys for a number of years.Â
She enjoyed cross stitching, playing games, ceramics and traveling.Â She enjoyed spending time with her dog, Troy, and spending time with her family.
Susan J. Ginther, 57, of 270 Birch Valley Rd., Kersey, died on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at the home of her daughter, Allison Bauer, of 534 Vine Rd., St. Marys, following an illness of the past several months.
She was born Jan. 11, 1955 in Ridgway, daughter of the late Robert G. and RoseAnn Spangler Dinsmore. On Feb. 29, 2000 in Las Vegas, she married Terry B. Ginther, who survives.
Susan was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of St. Marys Area High School, Class of 1972. She was employed for over 30 years at Metal Powder Products, formerly Carbon City Products.
Stanley R. "Patsy" Redmond Jr., 85, of 804 Dill Hill Rd., Johnsonburg and 174 Soneto Ct., SE, Port St. Lucie, Fla, died Tuesday evening, June 12, 2012, at UPMC Hamot Medical Center, Erie, following a brief illness.
He was born on March 23, 1927 in Falconer, N.Y., son of the late Stanley R. and Mildred Tarnoski Redmond. On Sept. 23, 1950, in the Sacred Heart Church, St. Marys, he married Leah R. Dornish, who survives.
Ben A. Keller, 94, of 356 S. Mountain Rd., Emporium, and formerly of Kirksville, Mo., died peacefully on Tuesday afternoon, June 12, 2012, in St. Marys in the company of his family.
He was born Feb. 2, 1918, the son of U.S. Grant and Effie J. (Burns) Keller.
Robert (Bob) Alan Cheatle, 67, died on Tuesday, June 5, 2012.
He was born in St. Marys on April 3, 1945, son of the late Vernon Jerome Cheatle and Ann Matilda (Young) Cheatle.
Hilda J. Gasbarre, 81, of 121 Polk Ave., Ridgway, died early Monday morning, June 11, 2012, at Pinecrest Manor following a lengthy illness.
She was born June 24, 1930, in Johnsonburg, daughter of the late Walter J. and Grace (Meise) Winters. She married Gene L. Gasbarre on Dec. 28, 1950; he survives. She had resided in Ridgway for the last 65 years and was a member of St. Leo Catholic Church.
Hilda enjoyed playing bingo and watching Pittsburgh sports. She had been employed at Quality Components for 30 years.
James P. Raybuck, 82, of 428 Smith St., Ridgway, died Sunday, June 10, 2012, at Elk Regional Health Center.
He was born Jan. 21, 1930, in Ridgway, the son of Clair and Elbirta Penfield Raybuck.
On Nov. 29, 1958, in Brookville, he married Lena Dunn, who survives.
Mr. Raybuck had resided most of his life in Ridgway. He was Methodist by faith. He was a member of the American Legion and the Ridgway Elks. He had been employed as a train conductor with the Pennsy Railroad.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Patricia A. Rees Covel, 80, of Pinecrest Manor, died Saturday, June 9, 2012, at her residence following a lengthy illness.
She was born Aug. 5, 1931 in Ridgway, the daughter of the late Paul and Cecilia Scherer Rees.
On Aug. 6, 1960, she married Harry N. Covel; he survives.
Mrs. Covel was a lifelong Ridgway resident. She was a member of St. Leo Catholic Church and the Good Samaritan Society. She was a graduate of St. Leoâ€™s School. She had been employed at United Natural Gas until 1960.
Sarah Martin Kronenwetter, 76, of California, Md., died surrounded by her loving family on June 5, 2012 in Washington, D.C.
Born on August 23, 1935 in Ridgway, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Dorothy Martin.
She was the loving wife of Ted Kronenwetter, whom she married on Aug. 20, 1960 in St. Marys.
Sarah graduated from St. Marys Area High School in 1953 and moved from St. Marys to St. Maryâ€™s County, Md., in November 2008. She worked as a teacherâ€™s aide for 20 years, retiring in 1997.
Sarah loved her family especially her grandchildren.
