JOHNSONBURG - The Elk County Catholic Lady Crusaders finished the regular season undefeated with a 3-1 (25-22, 25-23, 21-25, 25-15) victory over Johnsonburg last night at Johnsonburg Area High School.
The Ramettes honored five seniors before the game: Cody Anderson, daughter of Carol Anderson, Paige DeCecchis, daughter of Ed and Lynell DeCecchis, Taylor Harvey, daughter of Kristene and the late John Harvey, Justis Myers, daughter of Justin and Kelly Myers and Tori Stanley, daughter of Dave and Annie Stanley.
The St. Marys Area Lady Dutch volleyball squad celebrated Senior Night with a 3-0 victory over the visiting Brookville Lady Raiders in their regular-season finale at the "Dutch Oven" on Thursday night. The Lady Dutch won the best-of-five match, 3-0, on games of 25-19, 25-12 and 25-18.
The St. Marys Country Club ladies repeated as the Challenge Cup champions, defeating the Bavarian Hills Golf Course ladies by a 39-33 score in the 36-hole match. The two teams played evenly at the St. Marys Country Club as both squads scored 18 points each, but the difference was the St. Marys CC win at the Hills by a 21-15 score.
This marked the second consecutive year that the St. Marys Country Club ladies won the tournament.
