The St. Marys Area Flying Dutchmen rallied to beat the Redbank Valley Bulldogs Friday night at Dutch Country Stadium on Senior Night for the Dutch.
The Bulldogs held a 13-7 lead at the half, with the Dutch scoring seven points in the third and seven in the fourth quarter to win the contest 21-13.
â€śThis was a good win, a tough win,â€ť said St. Marys coach Joe Schlimm. â€śWe were not at our best tonight, but we found a way to get it done.â€ť
â€śWe had four kids (starters) that didnâ€™t dress tonight. Give credit to the other kids who stepped in for them tonight,â€ť he added.
KANE â€“Â With 36 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter, Kane was down 13-6 and was facing fourth and long from about the 26-yard line. With a chance to tie the game, quarterback Sean Jordan put a nice pass into the endzone; however, Elk Catholic's Pat Brennen was the player on the receiving end of that pass, sealing the Crusader victory with the interception.
