Cameron County rallies to beat Dutch wrestlers 43-30

December 16, 2011

The Cameron County Red Raider wrestling team rallied to defeat the St. Marys Area Flying Dutchmen by a 43-30 score last night at the SMAHS Dutch Oven.
St. Marys was able to build a 30-6 lead through 152 pounds but were unable to score in the final seven weight classes.
“We didn’t put a point on the board from 152 on and I think our inexperience really showed tonight,” said St. Marys coach Dominic Surra.
“We’re a little banged up and moved some kids around tonight and it showed,” said Surra.
“Hats off to Cameron County, they wrestled tonight. We just didn’t do it,” added coach Surra.
