Lady Crusaders advance to D-9A second round

The Elk County Catholic Lady Crusaders jumped out to an early lead against the Smethport Lady Hubbers in the opening round of the District 9-A playoffs, then coasted to a 54-22 victory in a game played at the Aaron J. Straub Gym at Elk Catholic.
The win moves the Lady Crusaders into the second round of the playoffs on Thursday evening at Kane.
"This was a good playoff win for us," said Ken Pistner, head coach of the Lady Crusaders. "We took care of business tonight and in the process got a lot of playing time for all of our players.
