SMA’s Adair Gennocro wins gold medal in 3200 run

ECC’s Kennedy Weisner wins two silver medals; ECC’s Jake Herbstritt a bronze

St. Marys Area High School junior Adair Gennocro won a gold medal at Saturday’s PIAA Track & Field Championships held at Shippensburg University by winning the Class AA 3200 run.
Gennocro won the event with a time of 10:36.22. She was seeded second in the event behind Boiling Springs’ Meredith Speakman with a time of 11:13.99. Speakman’s seed time was 11:01.57. Speakman finished in second place in 10:47.88.
Gennocro also medaled in the 1600 run with a time of 5:02.16, good for fourth place.
