Faced with the looming threat of rain on Monday afternoon, the Elk County Catholic Lady Crusader softball team made quick work of the Sheffield Lady Wolverines, blanking them 18-0 in three innings in a contest played at Benzinger Park.
"We were happy to get all of our players into the game and finish before the rain returned, although it did put a 'damper' on senior night festivities," said ECC coach Joe Coroso. "This was one of those games where everyone contributed."
ECC scored seven in the first and 11 in the second while holding Sheffield scoreless.
