Eric Wehler stole home in the bottom of the seventh inning to give the St. Marys Legion a 5-4 victory over the Coudersport squad Friday night at Berwind Park.
Trailing 4-3 going into the home half of the seventh, Nick Burdick singled with one out for St. Marys. He was replaced by pinch runner Jon Dippold. With two outs, Wehler was hit by a pitch and a single by Kevin Hoy loaded the bases. Ivan Wortman was walked, forcing in Dippold to knot the game at 4-all. Before Coudersport realized what was going on, Wehler took off for home to score the winning run.
