The St. Marys Area gymnastics team opened their 2013-2014 season on Wednesday evening on the road as they defeated the Ridgway Area squad by a 114.975 to 100.125 score.
The St. Marys Area Flying Dutch wrestling team opened their dual match season Wednesday night with a 44-28 victory over the Cameron County Red Raiders. It was also the home opener for the Dutch.

The Dutchmen finished with 196.5 points in the eight team tournament. Coming in second was Youngsville with 153 points, followed by Cameron County 148, Port Allegany 134, Southern Huntington 106, Oswayo Valley 67.5, Wellsboro 43, and St. Josephs 25.5.

Elk County Catholic High School held its annual Fall Athletic Awards Program on Wednesday, Nov. 13, with the event, which is sponsored by the ECCHS Athletic Association, focusing on the accomplishments of all of the school's athletes during the fall sports season.
The Elk County Catholic Lady Crusader volleyball team saw their season come to an end on Saturday afternoon as they were defeated 3-0 by the Bishop Carroll Lady Huskies in a PIAA Class A quarterfinal match played at Punxsutawney Area High School. Bishop Carroll recorded set scores of 25-18, 25-19, and 25-17 in the victory.
