The St. Marys Area Flying Dutch football team closed out their regular season Friday night with a 54-24 victory over the Bellefonte Raiders at Bellefonte.
The Dutchmen finished their regular season with a 6-4 record.
The Elk County Catholic Lady Crusaders advanced to the District 9 Class A final four by defeating the Keystone Lady Panthers 3-1 last night in a quarterfinal match.
Elk Catholic will meet the Oswayo Valley Green Wave in the semifinals. Oswayo Valley needed five sets to get by Port Allegany last night 25-17, 25-21, 20-25, 13-25 and 17-15.
The other semifinal match Saturday at St. Marys Area will see Clarion taking on North Clarion. Clarion ousted AC Valley while North Clarion eliminated Union.
The Elk County Catholic Lady Crusader volleyball team advanced to the quarterfinals of the District 9-A volleyball tournament by defeating the Curwensville Golden Tide by a 3-0 score Tuesday night at the ECCHS gym.
Elk Catholic won the first set 25-22. They took the second set 25-9 and won the match by taking the third set 25-15.

An impressive run by members of the Elk County Catholic Lady Crusader cross country team gave the squad the edge over North Clarion on Saturday in Ridgway as ECC used a 1-point advantage to claim the girls' District 9 Class A team title.
The Elk Catholic girls ended the day with 54 points while North Clarion came in second with 55. Both teams will advance to the PIAA Cross Country Championships at Parkview Cross Country Course in Hershey on Saturday, Nov. 2.
