The Elk County Catholic Crusaders and the Ridgway Elkers saw their game Wednesday suspended after 2 1/2 innings due to inclement weather.
The Crusaders were leading by a 10-1 score when the game was called in the top of the third inning after Ridgway finished batting.
The Crusaders had five hits in the limited contest. Kyle Schneider had a double while Ricky Pearsall, Eric Wehler, Luke Daghir and Josh Feldbauer all singled.
Jesse Reynolds, Josh Mitchell and Slade Horner all singled for the Elkers.
The Elk County Catholic track and field teams swept the St. Marys Area squads Thursday in a meet held at the ECCHS track and field complex.
The Crusaders defeated the Dutchmen 86-64, while the Lady Crusaders downed the Lady Dutch 108-42.
In the boysâ€™ meet, Elk Catholic was led by quadruple winners Dan Steudler and Jared Schaut. Steudler won the 400 dash, 800 run and was a member of the 1600 and 3200 relay teams. Schaut won the 200 dash, 300 hurdles, triple jump and was a member of the winning 1600 relay team.
The St. Marys Area High School Lady Dutch softball team picked up their third win of the season and second league win with a 5-1 victory over the visiting Altoona Lady Mountain Lions in a game played at the St. Marys Area High softball field under very chilly conditions.
The St. Marys Area Flying Dutch tennis team improved to 4-2 on the season with an 8-1 victory over the Johnsonburg Rams Thursday afternoon at the SMAHS courts.
At first singles, Dutchman Nathan Hansen won his match 6-3, 6-1 over John Carnovale.
At second singles, Brandon Romain of the Dutch defeated Mason Martonik 6-0, 6-0.
At third singles, Keith Meyer of the Dutch won his match 6-2, 6-1 over J.P. Allegretto.
Brandon Orr of the Dutch won his match 6-0, 6-1 over Shane Bickford at fourth singles.
At fifth singles, Michael Fox of the Dutch defeated Nate Fields 6-0, 6-0.
The St. Marys Area Flying Dutch tennis team improved their record to 3-1 on the season with a 9-0 victory over the DuBois Central Cardinals Monday afternoon at the SMAHS courts.
At singles, Dutchman Nathan Hansen won his match 6-0, 6-2 over David Gangeware.
At second singles, Brandon Romain of the Dutch defeated Kevin Blakely 6-2, 6-0.
Keith Meyer of the Dutch defeated Jake Peek 6-0, 6-2 at third singles.
At fourth singles, Dylan Wiesner won his match easily over Jake Aravich 6-0, 6-0.
Thomas Murmann of SMA defeated Elliot LaParke 6-2, 6-0 at fifth singles.
The Elk County Catholic Crusaders pounded out 13 hits on their way to a 15-5, five-inning victory over the visiting Curwensville Golden Tide at Berwind Park on Monday afternoon. The Crusaders used two pitchers in the five-inning game. Starter Joe Childs set the tone for the Crusaders as he limited the Golden Tide to just three hits and one run in his three innings of work. Pat Brennen came on to pitch the final two innings, giving up four hits and four runs.

Dutchman Keith Meyer won his match 6-0, 6-0 over Nate Dattoli at third singles.
At fourth singles, Dutchman Dylan Wiesner defeated Scott Reichard 6-0, 6-2.
Thomas Murmann of the Dutch downed Jon Leuschel 6-3, 6-0 at fifth singles.
St. Marys Area's Rachel Ginther pitched a perfect game on Friday afternoon as the St. Marys Area Lady Dutch recorded a five-inning, 10-0 victory over the Cameron County Lady Raiders at the softball field at St. Marys Area High School.
Ginther faced only 15 batters in the five-inning game, striking out 12 of the 15. Only three batters were able to put the ball in play; two of the hits were infield grounders and one was a fly ball to center field.
Elk County Catholic used two big innings and dominant pitching for an 11-1, 5-inning win over Ridgway Friday afternoon at Sandy Beach Recrational Park.
Ben Daghir threw four innings and gave up three hits, walking none and striking out seven. He was 1-for-2 with two runs scored and one RBI in addition to a walk.
Taylor Schlimm of Elk County Catholic recorded her third straight shutout win as the Lady Crusaders nipped the Ridgway Lady Elkers by a 2-0 score in a softball game played on Friday afternoon at the Benzinger Park field.
Schlimm and Taylor Rosetto of Ridgway were locked in a pitchers' duel through the contest, as both hurlers pitched excellent games. Schlimm gave up four hits, struck out 10 and issued no walks in the game. Rosetto allowed just three hits and struck out 12 while issuing three walks and hitting two batters.
