The St. Marys Area Quarterback Club held their 56th awards ceremony Saturday night in the St. Marys Area High School's Carpin Auditorium recognizing the 2013 St. Marys Area Flying Dutch football program.
The St. Marys Area swim team traveled to Brookville last Thursday to take on the Raider squads. The St. Marys squads both returned home with wins.
The St. Marys squads are back in action this evening as they play host to the Central Mountain squads at 6 p.m. at the SMAHS Natatorium.
The Elk County Catholic Crusaders defeated the St. Marys Area Flying Dutchmen a 65-45 District 9 League loss Friday night at the ECCHS gym.

The Johnsonburg Rams picked up the victory Monday night over St. Marys but the Dutch made it anything but easy for Johnsonburg.
The Rams outscored St. Marys 22-10 in the fourth quarter to blow open what had been a close game for three quarters to pick up a 69-52 win Monday night at Johnsonburg Area High School.
The St. Marys Area Flying Dutch had little trouble dispatching the Ridgway Elkers Saturday evening in a 57-17 win.
The St. Marys Area gymnasts travelled to Bellefonte to participate the in the Bellefonte Bash Invitational over the weekend.Â The invitational was broken down by grade levels, with gymnasts competing against others in the same grade. Â
The Elk County Catholic Crusader basketball team raised their overall record to 7-2 on the season with a 68-44 Allegheny Mountain League win over the Sheffield Wolverines Friday night at the ECCHS gym.

The Clarion Lady Bobcats handed the Elk County Catholic Lady Crusaders their first loss of the season Saturday night in the EQT Energy Classic Elk County Holiday Girls Basketball Tournament by a 49-30 score at the St. Marys Area High School Dutch Oven.
