The Elk County Catholic Crusader baseball team successfully defended their Elk County Baseball Tournament crown Saturday afternoon by defeating the St. Marys Area Flying Dutch by an 8-3 score in the championship game at Berwind Park.
It was fitting that a long day at Knothole Park was made a little longer by extra innings.
St. Marys didn't mind playing the extra two innings.
The Lady Dutch scored two runs in the ninth inning to win 4-2 over Elk County Catholic in the Elk County Softball Tournament championship game Friday night at Knothole Park in Johnsonburg.
