Kentucky came out and took care of business against one of the SEC cellar dwellers. The Wildcats opened up a 25 point lead before the half was over and then put in in cruise control for the second half. Willie Cauley-Stein led the balanced scoring effort by Kentucky with 14 points.

The St. Marys Area gymnastics team finished as the runner-up at the Central Pa. Gymnastics League championships, which were held in DuBois at the DuBois Area High School Friday. St. Marys finished less than three points behind Altoona in the battle for first place.
Altoona won the league title with a total score of 130.275. St. Marys was next with 127.375, followed by Bellefonte 121.975, DuBois Area 117.9, and Ridgway 114.625.
The Elk County Catholic Lady Crusaders won their fourth straight girls' Allegheny Mountain League title Saturday night when they defeated the DuBois Central Catholic Lady Cardinals 49-30 in the title game played at the St. Marys Area High School.
Elk County Catholic's Nate DaCanal's field goal with seconds left gave the Elk County Catholic Crusaders a hard fought 47-46 win over the Ridgway Elkers Saturday night in the Allegheny Mountain League championship played at the St. Marys Area High School.
The Elk County Catholic Lady Crusaders kept their winning streak going and earned a trip to tonight's AML title game with a 58-30 victory over the Brockway Lady Rovers Friday night in an AML semifinal played at Elk County Catholic High School.
The Elk County Catholic Crusaders will meet the Ridgway Elkers tonight at 7:30 p.m. at the St. Marys Area Dutch oven for the Allegheny Mountain League championship.

The Elk County Catholic Lady Crusader basketball team completed an undefeated regular season as they downed the Bradford Lady Owls Wednesday night by a 56-36 score in a District 9 League game played at the ECCHS gym to finish the regular season with a 22-0 record.
The St. Marys Lady Dutch (7-15) spoiled the Johnsonburg Ramettes' (6-16) Senior Night on Tuesday with a 44-39 win in the Paper City.
The Dutch wrestlers treated fans to another exciting come-from-behind victory on Tuesday night in their final home dual meet of the season as they traded the lead five times with the Redbank Valley Bulldogs, trailing 28-27 headed into the final bout before rallying for the 33-28 win.
The St. Marys Area swim and dive teams split with the Clearfield squads during SMA's final home meet of the season Monday night at the SMAHS natatorium. The Lady Dutch defeated the Lady Bison 128-54, but the Bison beat the Dutchmen 125-58.
