The St. Marys Area Lady Dutch volleyball team defeated the Johnsonburg Ramettes 3-0 last night in a match played at the SMAHS Dutch Oven.
It was a tale of two halves for the St. Marys Area Flying Dutchmen in their match against the Kane Wolves on Tuesday afternoon at the SMAHS soccer field. After being tied 2-all at the break, St. Marys scored seven goals in the second half to win 9-4.
The St. Marys Area Lady Dutch tennis team raised their record to 5-4 on the season as they defeated the Bradford Lady Owls by a 7-2 score Tuesday afternoon at the SMAHS courts.
The Elk County Catholic Crusaders edged the DuBois Area Beavers 2-1 in a tough, physical match at Angela Huey Memorial Field on Tuesday night.
In a meet held in Kane that also featured teams from Brockway, the Elk County Catholic Crusaders came away with victories over the Wolves and Rovers while the Lady Crusaders won against the Lady Rovers. Kane did not field a girls' team.
The ECC boys beat Kane 17-44 and Brockway 17-45. The Kane boys beat Brockway 21-36. The Lady Crusaders defeated the Lady Rovers 16-39.
The Elk County Catholic Lady Crusader tennis team saw their record slip to 6-2 on the season as they lost a 6-3 match to the DuBois Area Lady Beavers Tuesday afternoon at the Benzinger and Memorial Park courts.
The Kane Lady Wolves hosted the St. Marys Area Lady Dutch on Monday afternoon in soccer action. The visitors controlled the action for most of the game and left town with a 3-0 win.

The Elk County Catholic Crusader football team played host to the Smethport Hubbers for a chilly Saturday evening game at Dutch Country Stadium this week. The Crusaders led all the way, dominating the Hubbers for a 53-6 victory.
