Alma D. Slate, 78, of Loveland Colo., died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012 at her residence after a short illness. She was born Oct. 29, 1934 in St. Marys, PA, daughter of the late Dort and Ottie Urbancic. On Sept. 19, 1959, in Denver, Colo., Alma married Clarence E. Slate, who preceded her in death on May 24, 2009.
After graduating from high school, Alma entered the United States Navy. She served five years, with her last position bringing her to Denver, Colo.
Alma was devoted to her family and friends and was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.
Rebecca (Becky) Mae Johnson, 59, of Spring Creek Rd., Ridgway, died suddenly at home on Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012.
She was born on Sept. 2, 1953 in Ridgway, the daughter of Lila Jean Duffee Johnson of Dagus Mines and the late Theodore W. Johnson. She graduated from Ridgway Area High School, Class of 1971. Becky attended the Bethlehem Lutheran Church. She worked at Aielloâ€™s Restaurant for years. She then became owner/operator of a cleaning business. She was forced to retire due to health problems.
