Hyde to serve as CEO of Gettysburg Hospital

St. Marys native Jane Hyde is currently senior vice president of strategic development and community affairs at Agnesian HealthCare in Fond du Lac, Wis.; however, she is in the process of wrapping up her tenure in that position and moving back home to Pennsylvania to serve as senior vice president for the WellSpan Health system and CEO its of Gettysburg Hospital.
Hyde explained that her decision to pursue this type of career, and to move back to Pennsylvania, is due to "the opportunity to continue to impact the lives of patients and families needing healthcare."

Annis crankin' out the tunes in California

Radio personality Matt Annis, 29, went from working at local radio station WKBI to recently being named the assistant program director and music director on CBS Radio in San Diego.
The St. Marys Area High School Class of 2000 graduate currently resides in La Jolla, Calif. He is the son of Ted and Sharon Annis, the grandson of Frank Skok and brother to Todd and Shay Annis. He has a son, Noah Annis, and is engaged to Natasha Dorfhuber.
Now known as "Matt Stone" on the radio, Annis oversees the day-to-day operations of KSCF-FM in San Diego, where he was hired three months ago.

Everything's 'shipshape' and 'barrels' of fun for Casey Scott

Ridgway native Casey Scott's interest in shipping and business has led him to sail the seas, often traveling and in some cases living around the world as a shipping manager for one of the world's largest oil companies.
Scott attended Ridgway Area High School and received a B.S. in Marine Engineering and Marine Transportation from the United States Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point, N.Y. He put his degree to good use after graduation and gained some practical experience by sailing cargo ships to destinations across the globe.

Kunes helps families, fights crime in medical examiner's office

The work done in medical examiners' offices has often been glamorized by popular television shows, but for Elk County native Jazmine Kunes, it is a way to help ensure that justice is done and bring closure to families in her job as a Quality Assurance Technician for the Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office in Pittsburgh.
"I love being in the criminal justice environment. I am able to watch people I work with help those who no longer have a voice in this life, and I too contribute to this in certain ways," Kunes said. 

Nangle truckin' along throughout SoCal

Shannon DePonceau Nangle, 33, of Apple Valley, Calif., spends a majority of her time traveling through California and Nevada as a truck driver for Performance Team, an ideal career for someone who says she doesn't like being stuck inside a building all day.
Over the past seven years, Nangle has delivered everything from dry bulk products such as powdered cement, sand and rock from mills to various batch plants, to an array of household items and merchandise.

Justin Martin helping Americans access Social Security benefits

St. Marys native Justin Martin is busy expanding his skills as a leader while helping American citizens in his employment as an operations supervisor in the Erie District Office of the Social Security Administration (SSA).
Martin supervises the office's claims representatives, who are responsible for taking and adjudicating claims for retirement, disability, and survivor’s benefits. He is also involved in the supervision of the service representatives, who assist callers and visitors to the office in a wide variety of Social Security matters.

Bicycle shop owner Pasquinelli likes to spin her wheels

Kersey native Monica Pasquinelli is sharing her enthusiasm for bicycles and cycling with the City of Brotherly Love as a bicycle shop owner and mechanic.
"Cycling in Philadelphia has grown a lot since I moved here 15 years ago," Pasquinelli said. "It's become more recognized as a great alternative to cars and public transportation. The city has a lot more bicycle advocacy groups and is developing more bike lanes and paths, and promoting education and rights for commuters."

Gier mentoring those around Erie area

Ridgway Area High School graduate Annakaye Gier always had a love for the Erie area while growing up.
Her college experience led her to Edinboro and then to a full-time position in Erie. Gier is currently employed at Erie Strong Vincent High School. She teaches 12th grade Learning Support Consumer Math, along with Emotional Support Math for ninth through 12th graders. Gier also co-teaches an Algebraic Applications class and an Algebra I class. She graduated from Ridgway Area High School in 2004 and from Edinboro University in 2008.

Divonna Mohr Stebick teaching, touching lives

St. Marys native Dr. Divonna Mohr Stebick wears many hats as an instructor. Now living in Hanover, Pa., she is an instructional consultant for many school districts across the country, assisting teachers in helping students meet greater success.
She has taught students from grades K-12, is a reading specialist, serves as an adjunct faculty member for Johns Hopkins University, McDaniel College and Keuka College, and has been a full-time assistant professor at Gettysburg College since 2003.

St. Marys native Jennifer Schneider Woolstrum, now living in Pittsburgh, is helping to preserve and promote the cultures of many ethnic groups as a member of the board of directors of the Junior Tamburitzans of South Hills (JTSH), a youth folk ensemble based in the South Hills of Pittsburgh dedicated to preserving the arts, music, and heritage of eastern and central Europe.
