James Link of New York created this great owl standing at about 21 in. tall, a howling wolf at just over three feet high, a disturbed eagle measuring nearly eight feet high and Betty Boop, which originally featured the iconic character in an ankle length dress. Link is just one of the many artists participating in the Ridgway Chainsaw Carvers Rendezvous starting Saturday and continuing through next weekend.

ECCOTA renovations unveiled

Some of the mission of ECCOTA, "offering experiences in the arts, providing educational opportunity and advice and supporting performers, musicians, artists, artisans and writers," is featured on a ceiling area near the back of the ECCOTA gallery.

Polar Sweet Express

The Polar Sweet Express, a fun shopping event held at The Edgewood in St. Marys on Saturday to benefit Citizens Against Physical, Sexual and Emotional Abuse (CAPSEA) shelter, was packed from open to close as patrons sampled chocolate-dipped goodies, purchased a variety of items from area craftspeople and businesses, and bid on items in the silent auction.
