Registration continues for Girl Scout Camp

Registration continues for the Girl Scouts' annual summer camp taking place from July 27-30 at Camp AdaHi on West Theresia Road in St. Marys, next to Walmart. Area scouts and non-scouts, from kindergarten through grade 12, are invited to attend. Registration forms are available at Memorial and Benzinger parks, the St. Marys Community Pool and the St. Marys Public Library. There is a cost for the camp.
Camp director Jean Kirst explained this year's camp will have a beach theme complete with a luau, water/boating safety, crafts, activities and games.

Hootinanny to host Charity Pub Crawl

The year-long Straub Brewery Charity Pub Crawl hits the halfway mark on Thursday, July 14, when the Pub Crawl stops at the Hootinanny in downtown St. Marys.  Stop #6 begins at 8 p.m. with music by Custom Sounds, drink specials, charity cookout, pong tournament on the deck, special prizes and other activities-- and no cover charge. This also marks the public debut of the Hoot's new manager, Krista Dippold, who has worked closely with Straub Brewery to organize this midsummer Pub Crawl Stop.
