4-H Youth Creative Cooking

Recently, members of the 4-H Summer Program who were in the Creative Cooking club made a variety of yummy snacks ranging from homemade macaroni and cheese to caramel apples. Pictured above is the group with their caramel apples that they made and decorated with a variety of candy. The group members are: front row, Destiney Yeager and Nora McGuire. Grotzinger girls donate Locks for Love

That's why these two young entrepreneurs were out on Chestnut St. in St. Marys on Sunday operating a stand with delicious (and pink!) lemonade. Youth group assists Guardian Angel Center

The Guardian Angel Center in Kersey was recently visited by the Shiloh Presbyterian Youth Group. The group learned about the history of the center, its mission, information about who is eligible to receive services, and just what is provided to clients. They learned that the center currently distributes clothing to eligible families who are struggling financially and that over 800 students from 26 communities were provided with new and gently used clothing and shoes during the past school year.

Community holds Corpus Christi observance

On Sunday, the St. Marys community celebrated its 166th observance of the Feast of Corpus Christi. The service began with an Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and litany in St. Mary's Church. Participants then moved outdoors and proceeded to the St. Joseph Monastery, the St. Mary's Parish Annex, and ended at Sacred Heart Church, celebrating a Benediction at each location.

Farmers' market opens for season

This is Glenn Callendar's horse. He had her for 16 years and said she was the "best horse of all." She passed on about three weeks ago, and he misses her very much. He will think of her when he goes to the rodeo.
