Agnes M. Auman

Agnes M. Auman, 92, a resident of Pinecrest Manor and formerly of Elk Towers and a former resident of Ridgway, died Monday, Nov. 26 at Pinecrest Manor after a brief illness.
She was born July 23, 1920, in St. Marys, daughter of the late Simon and Frances Fruehstorfer Schafman. On Oct. 25, 1941, in the St. Joseph Monastery, she married Eugene G. Auman, who preceded her in death on Aug. 26, 1983.
Mrs. Auman was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of St. Leo's High School. She was a retired employee of Quality Components, retiring in 1987 after 35 years of service. She was a member of the St. Mary's Church and a former member of St. Leo's Church in Ridgway.
She is survived by two daughters, Shirley Saline (Garry) of Kersey, and Brenda Homme (Rick) of Fernley, Nev.; two sons, Donald M. Auman (Barbara) of Charlotte Hall, Md., and Francis D. Auman (Sharyn) of St. Marys; 9 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-granddaughter.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two grandsons, David Auman and Chad Saline.
Family and friends of Agnes M. Auman are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated in the St. Mary's Church on Monday, Dec. 3 at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Meinrad Lawson, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the Parklawn Memorial Gardens in Ridgway.
There will be no visitation.
