Alice M. Fleming

Alice M. Fleming, 87, of Silver Creek Terrace and formerly of 838 South Michael Road, St. Marys, died Monday, July 1, 2013 at the Elk Haven Nursing Home after a lengthy illness.
She was born June 9, 1926, in St. Marys, daughter of the late Michael and Esther Haberberger Baumer. On April 19, 1947, in the St. Mary's Church, she married Richard N. Fleming and he preceded her in death on March 11, 2012.
Mrs. Fleming was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of Central Catholic High School. She was a member of the Queen of the World Church, and she was a kind, loving, and selfless person always putting everyone else's needs before her own. She always made everyone laugh and she will be greatly missed.
She is survived by two daughters, Lois Sadley and her husband Richard L. of St. Marys and Mary Gerg and her husband Douglas A. of St. Marys; a son, Brian A. Fleming and his wife Mary Pat of St. Marys; six grandchildren, Angela (Ed) Long, Joseph (Kelly Jo) Sadley, Isaac Gerg, Ian Gerg, Alissa Fleming, and Jessica Fleming; and three great-grandchildren, Cecilia Long, Maxwell Long, and Anna Sadley.
Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by twin daughters Yvonne and Yvette Fleming in infancy; five sisters, Helene Baumer, Margaret Detsch, and in infancy Caroline, Alice, and Marion Baumer; and by six brothers, James Baumer, Andrew Baumer, Henry Baumer, Lawrence Baumer, George Baumer, and in infancy Frederick Baumer. She was the last member of her immediate family.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial for Alice M. Fleming to be celebrated in the Queen of the World Church on Saturday, July 6 at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Thomas More, OSB, as celebrant.
Burial will be in the St. Mary's Cemetery.
There will be no visitation.
