Anita L. (Barr) Goss, 56, of Providence Forge, Va., died Friday, July 13, 2012 at her sister’s home in Caledonia.
She was Dec. 9, 1955 in DuBois, the daughter of the late James and Marion (Sexton) Barr.
On July 4, 1986, she married Duane B. Goss of Providence Forge, Va., who survives.
Mrs. Goss lived most of her life in Bennetts Valley and the past 22 years in Virginia. She worked 20 years in retail sales. She was Methodist by faith, an avid shopper, enjoyed the beach and pool and took great pride in maintaining her home.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two children, Melanie L. Caruso of DuBois, and Terry Jason Caruso of Weedville; two stepchildren, Krista (Robert) George of Deanville and Bradley D. Goss of North Freedom; five grandchildren, Ethan Caruso, Trevor and Mason Pichler, Tia M. and Brianna L. George; two brothers, Thomas Barr of Medix Run and James Barr; and two sisters, Constance Burke of Medix Run and Debra (Gene) Winchester of Caledonia.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a nephew, James Cochran.
Funeral services for Anita L. (Barr) Goss will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, July 16, 2012 at the Ralph M. Geer Funeral Home, Penfield, with Pastor Lola J. Turnbull officiating. Interment will take place in Morningside Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 16, 2012 from 2–4 and 6–7 p.m. at the funeral home.
