Anna Mae Schutz, 86, of Elk Haven Nursing Home and formerly of Elk Towers and 114 Rightmeyer Street, St. Marys, died on Monday, August 15, 2011 at Elk Haven Nursing Home.
She was born January 29, 1925 in St. Marys, a daughter of the late Clair and Edna Mason Ford.
On November 14, 1945 in Sacred Heart Church, she married the Edward G. Schutz, who preceded her in death on January 30, 2006.
Mrs. Schutz was a member of Sacred Heart Church.Â She worked in the cafeteria at ECCHS for more than 29 years and greatly enjoyed working with the students.Â She also enjoyed going to bingo and playing cards.Â Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.Â
She is survived by a daughter, Kathleen Schutz of Falls Creek; three sons, Edward Schutz Jr. and his wife Mary Jo of St. Marys, Alan Schutz of St. Marys, and Donald Schutz and his wife Karen of Erie; seven grandchildren; 17Â great-grandchildren; three sisters, Sandy Bankovich of St. Marys, Grace Koons of Missouri and Lula Kanski of Jersey Shore; two brothers, Milton Ford of South Carolina and Rollie Ford of Florida; and by numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by seven brothers, two sisters, and a granddaughter, Melanie Avey.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial for Anna Mae Schutz at Sacred Heart Church, 325 Center Street, St. Marys, on Thursday, August 18 at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Eric Vogt, O.S.B., and the Very Rev. Theodore B. Marconi as concelebrants.
Burial will be in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
There will be no visitation.
