Anna Marie Carlson, 73, of 9362 Route 219, Brockport, died Sunday March 30, 2014 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.
She was born Nov. 23, 1940 in Bombertown, daughter of the late Steven and Catherine Watkovich Scanish. She was married on Nov. 26, 1958 to John Edward Carlson Sr., he survives.
Anna enjoyed knitting, bingo, baking and spending time with her grandchildren and family. Retired, she had been employed at Brockway Glass as an inspector.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, John Carlson Jr., Michael and Diane Carlson, Steven and Barbie Carlson, David and Beth Carlson, Kathryn and Chris Carlson, Shari and John Hrusth; a brother, Steve and Kathy Scanish; a sister, Elizabeth and Jim Nearing; and a brother, John Scanish. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Rosemary Schaut; an infant son, Howard John Carlson; and a grandson, Benjamin Joel Carlson.
A Memorial Service for Anna Marie Carlson will be held Friday, April 4 at 8 p.m. at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway with Rev. Terry Felt officiating. Friends may call on Friday, April 4 from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Boniface School in Kersey.
