Ardis M. Lunder

Ardis M. Lunder, 83, of Oknefski Road, Ridgway, died Saturday, July 26, 2014 at Penn Highland Elk.
She was born Dec. 23, 1930, in Ridgway, daughter of George W. and Melva E. Kelly Oknefski.
She married Leo W. Lunder, he predeceased her on March 30, 1981.
She had resided in Ridgway all of her life. She was a graduate of Ridgway Area High School, Class of 1948. Ardis enjoyed dancing, baking, sewing and gardening.
She is survived by three children, William Lunder (Sylvia Gatto) of Ridgway, Diane Gess (Bud) of Ridgway and Cheryl Anderson (Rock) of Kansas; 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Pearsall of Kersey; two brothers, Russ Oknefski (Marian) of Ridgway, and Leo Oknefski of Florida; and by several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Hazel Softich; and by a special friend, Brownie Pearsall.
Funeral services for Ardis Lunder will be held in the Meehan-Shilk Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 30 at 9 p.m. Officiating will be Mr. Cole Wilson. Friends will be received for two hours prior to the service on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. Interment will be in Ott Cemetery.
