Area churches holding sunrise Easter service

April 2, 2012

Photo by Victoria Stanish - The Diamond in downtown St. Marys, shown here, will be the site of a sunrise service at 6:30 a.m. on Easter Sunday, April 8. A number of churches are collaborating to provide the service for area residents, and everyone is invited.

As the first rays of light break over the hills and the ground is wet with dew, the voices of area residents will be raised in song and prayer at a sunrise service on Easter Sunday.
The service will take place at 6:30 a.m. on Easter Sunday, April 8, at the Diamond in downtown St. Marys. The Rev. Chris Kindle, pastor of First United Methodist Church in St. Marys, said multiple churches will be participating in the event.
