Area students awarded scholarships from Elk County Community Foundation

Photo by Amy Cherry A large group of area high school graduates gathered at the Elk County Community Foundation, now located inside the Franklin Center in downtown St. Marys, for a photo recognizing all of the recipients.

This year the Elk County Community Foundation awarded a total of 97 scholarships to area graduating high school seniors totaling $117,000.
Among the Class of 2013 recipients were 30 students from St. Marys Area High School, 16 students from Elk County Catholic High School, 21 students from Ridgway Area High School, 14 students from Johnsonburg Area High School, five from Kane Area High School, one from Cameron County Area High School and six to students from DuBois Area and Brockway Area high schools.
