Armstrong calls for survivors to be a symbol of hope

KERSEY – Amy Armstrong, an Elk County Relay for Life committee member in charge of survivorship, addressed the crowd at this year's event at the Fox Township Community Park prior to the survivors' walk on Saturday evening. Armstrong began her brief remarks by explaining that she was going to talk about "something a little unusual"–rubber bands. "Rubber bands are a brilliant creation," she said. "They're so useful. They're simple, but they're useful in many different ways."
